I have been endlessly debating whether to get a 30 or a 35 Birkin and was really worried that the 30 wouldn't be able to fit all the stuff that I need but now I know that it can!!!! Thanks a million for the useful pictures!!!!

fyi, you may want to, just for fun, have a look at a 32 rigide kelly.
for me, it is almost as practical as the gp- 36cm i think is?-

I find my 30 cm birkins perfect for everyday use. Although I haven't tried a laptop in mine - I can fit my pilates gear in mine along with - my wallet, an umbrella, keys, mobile and small prada makeup bag. I also think they work well with my frame. However, I am probably going to get a 35cm this year as I am curious about it and I would like to vary my collection - I also think it would be cool to have a bit more extra room. I am not keen on toting lots of bags at once.

I am also considering a 32cm retourne kelly which I would plan to use as an everyday bag too. I think it would be really versatile but I am scared that the kelly shape might be too small for things like the makeup bag and the telescopic umbrella.

It would be fun to have a thread on how much the kelly can hold too!
