Just Curious - is Epi Leather not as popular as Canvas?

My Petit Noe is only stiff/rigid at the bottom, the body of the bag is soft and pliable.

My Alma and Monceau Epi are VERY stiff. I'm not very fond of the Alma in Epi - but the color makes it a keeper. One of the design features of the Monceau is that it's structured and she is elegant in Epi!
My Segur is my little black bag for occasions when I wear the little black dress attire, but she isn't stiff at all.

This is good to know. I thought long and hard about an Epi Alma before ultimately passing because the bag was so stiff (still think about the bag, though!). I also considered an Epi Neverful but again, the bag felt stiff and in that style, I wanted it to be pliable. If I knew it would soften, I might get one, Maybe I need to look at a Noe!

Like @momof3boyz I don't baby my Epi bags either. What bag did you get?
I bought my first LV a few months ago and at the time the Alma PM in Epi was in the running but the price was a factor and I do love the look of the canvas handbags too. (Plus my casual style thought maybe canvas made more sense) So a couple weeks ago I broke down and ordered it (the Noir)....I have gone back and forth and back again ;) And now too late for a refund so either I keep or buy possibly more canvas. I do like the idea it is not so in your face LV but I should probably look at or looked at pre-owned instead. I still may if I exchange it.

I have 3 epi pieces and love them. One is agenda pm (i also have canvas) and soufflot bag and the pouchette. This small pouchette is so cute that even the SA in the shop made me a compliments about it (the bag is discontinued and not all SA knw it)
I use my epi bag for evenings and my canvas for everyday.

I love epi leather. I have 3 epi pieces. 2 lockits and 1 zippy coin purse. They were all preowned and have held up very well! What I love most is that folks have no idea that they’re LV. I have gotten many compliments!

Wow! I’m really losing my marbles. I actually an epi pm agenda, and epi PA in addition to the 3 pieces I mentioned above.

I am just curious. I like to look at resale sites like Fashionphile and Yoogi's Closet. Based on the prices they have on Epi leather handbags compared to monogram canvas it appears that canvas is much more popular.

I am surprised Epi leather doesn't seem more popular / valuable on the resale market. It is leather, durable etc. Is it due to the fact many consumers think of LV as simply monogram canvas? Generally speaking I prefer leather over canvas although I do like the monogram look.
I just sold FP my black Epi Speedy and I kind of have regrets.

The canvas is definitely more popular because of the monogram! I don't really like the Epi leather but I do love the Taurillon Caviar leather - that features on the capucines, twist mm etc.
agree, canvas is the best sell. BTW, saw the Taurillon Caviar leather on capuchine, nice but not as special to be apart from other brands even very inexpensive several hundred dollars brands, empreinte is really nice and unique.

People love LV for their monogram canvas bags, that's why the Epi leather bags aren't that popular in the aftermarket sector.

However, I love my Epi leather Vaneau since the material is structured, gorgeous, and low-maintenance. I use my Vaneau as my daily work bag and I decorate it by wrapping the handles with Twillys. I also have a canvas pochette Felicie in DA that I use a lot along with my epi leather.

My bags are for me to enjoy and use. They're not "investments" for me to resell later. I think a lot of people go for LV canvas because of their high resell value aside from being lightweight and casual.

I prefer the LV monogram prints. To coordinate prints like checkered and monogram pattern with your outfit is really engaging.
I just starting to find Epi is captivating to wear, especially colored leather bags.

Canvas is definitely more popular. It's lightweight, recognizable, has a history attached to it, and is long lasting and durable.
Epi is more subtle, heavier. But both have their pros and cons and love both for their unique design. No one does the textured leather like LV.

If you don’t mind my asking, why did you decide to sell and why the regrets? Epi Speedy is a bag I keep going back and forth on, which is why I’m curious.
Honestly, I loved the bag it was beautiful. The only reason l got rid of it is because I've come to realize I am not a handheld bag girl. I have the Mono Speedy B and I recently bought the Empreinte Speedy B and having the strap is so much more convenient for my lifestyle.
