Ha! I must have grown up under a rock. Do not remember this! I do remember my grandmother’s elephant figurines lined up on her windowsill. I’m thinking it had something to do with the tusks, being a type of horn which had a protective quality. She’d be annoyed if she knew I was having trouble remembering the inception of the idea.
This cutie 2004 Marron Twiggy. A little bit faded, no mirror, and cut tassels, but the leather is amazingly silky, soft, and a whole lot of puddly goodness! It's definitely that unique '04 hand feel. No corner wear luckily enough also. First Twiggy and loving it so far.

When I took it out of its packaging and saw the color, I immediately thought of roasted chestnuts and then got a bit peckish

The oversized Day bag arrived. It’s an anthracite that leans blue, while my anthracite city leans green.
Dimensions are not that far from the regular Day bag. Same length, but a bit wider and a whole lot deeper. I’m glad it’s a more manageable size as I consider this an everyday bag, not a travel bag.

I did not know there was an over-sized Day. The leather on yours looks lovely.
