Ahhh.. yep color looks prettier and more blue in her photo. This is why it's so hard to get a realistic shot. When I sell something I carry the bag all over the place, inside, outside, shade, sun.. Even in the same exact spot, changing angle, can change the color. To be fair it's not only the crappy cameras, these bags are notorious for playing games with light. So I guess when we buy something it's the same crapshoot, often a surprise when we open the shipping box.
..
True. I can say that the vast majority of my color surprises have been pleasant. Cameras can't accurately capture bal colors, and the real thing is often more unique and interesting in person. The exceptions are when people deliberately manipulate the photo to make the color super vibrant, juicy and saturated, but ship something washed out and parched. I'm looking at you, FP.

This is Ceejay's Teal city. I thought my Teal first was going to be hard to beat, but this leather just blows everything out of the water. I love the wrinkly - chewy - distressed - pillowy - softness - puddle of leather! I will also post this in the dedicated CeeJay thread. This one isn't ever leaving my collection. Still debating if I will keep the first. Do you all have multiple bags in the same color? Different styles? I struggle hard to justify keeping different styles of the same color in my collection. Anyone care to chime in their POV?

That color is truly stunning, @fayden.

My two cents on multiples in the same color: I'm personally not a big fan of them simply because I continually find myself drawn to the same one over and over again. The other just never gets any love and I'd feel better that someone else get to experience that joy. I'm also constantly wanting to try new styles/brands, so perhaps you're like me and would prefer those funds for the next thrill. However, I'd hold onto both for now and see which one you favor. If you pull for one and not the other, move on from that, but if you find you're reaching for both equally, why not keep both?

That's actually really good advice. I will do this and perhaps start a bag journal? Will have to keep track of how many times the city gets chosen over the first or vice versa!

The color is the same, but personality is very different. For me the Firsts are easier to grab for daily errands. Cities more often used if/when I take the time to plan how to dress for an event, even a very casual one. So for me, loving a color is enough reason to have it in more than one style. :girlsigh:
Both styles just so easy to use. I'll use the first tomorrow and give them some equal time to see if I do prefer one over the other.

If you love both styles and love the color, why not? Both are so gorgeous in their own way!

I am guilty of having the same color in different style (and in the same style). For example, I have three 2005 turquoise bags— two cities and one first. To me, the regret associated with selling a bag you like is worse than the extra closet space these bags take up/the monetary gain from selling.

I do have multiple bags in the same color. They’re usually different styles, except for black cities which I have about 6 of, including A and Z tag black cities.

I’ve sold bags before out of a sense or fiscal responsibility, when I’ve had multiples of the same color. Some I never thought about again. Others still pain me and I’d gladly hoard 14 of the exact same bag and style in that color (ahem, Eggplant). So it all depends on if selling *this* teal first would pain you, or if the city is enough to feed your 05 teal tooth.

I downloaded an app called the WearTracker and will add my collection to it and see if there's anything I don't carry and can let go. I think that's probably the reasonable and responsible thing to do. I hate being an adult sometimes!

I’m one of those weirdos who has VERY specific bag requirements and no amount of cuteness will make me carry a bag that doesn’t meet them, so I will only consider three or four styles…but across those styles I would be happy to duplicate colors, no problem.

I cannot carry hobos or shoulder bags. And they have to be relatively easy to get in and out of. If it's too fussy I just don't want to carry it. But I love hand held and crossbody bags are my favorite. I guess I just have to see... it will take some time.

So this has been a busy summer for my handbag collection!
I've always had a soft spot for Bbags and the older the bag, the better!
You may recall I purchased a well loved 05 Grey in July (which is the bag I'm currently carrying)
I used to have an 03 Olive Brown Single & had been hoping to find another one, what I found instead is an even better find (IMO)

While I was still looking for an A tag 05 black city, I found this one, made an offer and was pleasantly surprised when it was accepted. I was in for an even bigger surprise when it arrived. There's not a spot of wear to be found. Its almost as if it was never carried - it looks brand new!

And as you may have seen in the thread about CeeJay's bag's, I ended my summer by adding her A tag 05 black city to my collection. This is most Bbags I've ever owned at one time!
