The artisans were feverishly filling pre-orders during the early part of summer. I thought we’d have to wait until February ‘24 for this announcement.
I hope they come up with a barenia-toile Diane L26 so I don't have only Moynat Gabrielle as my only option.
Maybe the canvas will offset that excessive bling I feel with the Diane hardware
But I doubt it will come this year as it is a summer bag
 
My aubergine Fontelie has arrived. However, I have sent a query into the boutique because I suspect the strap buckle may be attached incorrectly. There is no way to buckle it without the strap being twisted one way or another, which cannot possibly be how the bag is intended to be worn. Hoping for a swift resolution. Although everyone at Duclos has been lovely so far with this purchase, I'm a bit disappointed that something like this would pass quality control.

Very shocking! Their quality control process is stringent. I hope this is resolved to your satisfaction.

I've sent the boutique photos but they are on my phone, not on my laptop, which I am using now. I compared my bag's buckle position to the photos of the bag on the Duclos website and the buckle is indeed facing the wrong way. The only way to buckle the strap is to either have the buckle face down, towards the shoulder, which is really not comfortable to wear and looks strange, or to twist one of the straps so that it faces up.

Here’s mine. I understand your buckle to be flipped over. They quality check before anything is sent out. Someone was asleep on this one. I’m so sorry

Yes, exactly, mine is flipped over so it looks upside down compared to yours. It's kind of crazy to me that no one noticed at any point but I guess everyone is human.

It is a bit disconcerting that this made it past QC, but as you say, everyone is human. I think the important thing will be how they handle it. I well remember the Hermes stinky bag fiasco and I'm happy to learn that at least Duclos is attending to this promptly.

Well, I can't say yet how promptly they are attending to it as I haven't yet received a response. But, it's the weekend, so we'll see what happens on Monday.
