I honestly don’t understand these celebrity advertising campaigns. I mean they sign a contract to rep the brand and wear the product out and about without any personal investment in the brand. Why would people be convinced to purchase a product because someone wealthy is paid to wear it. :-s

1) so Coach posted the photo on Facebook a few hours ago and it has a lot of negative feedback in the comments section. I think Coach is trying to go more luxury perhaps why they had her Chanel bag in the shot originally. But considering most of their income comes from the outlets I don't think they will be successful as a pure luxury brand.

2) now it looks like they are getting Kate Moss on board she's on the Coach website. At least she was a model but I think Coach needs some new stylists and such....

It could also be part of her contract that she has to carry it. Personally I don't think Jenny from the Block will go out of her way to wear it unless she gets paid to. Her history with brands and sponsorships prove that quite clear over the years. She barely wore her own brands back in the day with the exception of advertising or if PR was going to "catch" her in a pre-planned photo op.

The real photo before being cropped is more believable. Many people cross shop and IMHO, as long as your aren't screaming label names all over your look and keeping it simple, that's the way to do it. I think I would have liked the photo more if she just wasn't sitting like that.

Oh, I’m sure it’s part of the contract. It is no coincidence that she was “spotted out” with this bag at the same time the brand campaign launched. As someone who buys what I fancy regardless of luxury or contemporary brand, I will be interested to see how she incorporates the Coach items into her wardrobe.

I love that they chose Jenn. Yes she carries some luxury designer bags but I have seen her dressed casual with Longchamp Bag.
I carry some luxury bags, Gucci, LV, Balenciaga and I still reach for my classic coach bags. As a matter of fact I am carrying coach bag to work this week. I think we all like to mix it up and there are different occasions that call for us to change it up a bit.
I am an equal opportunity handbag lover. If I like a bag regardless of name brand, I carry it. I am excited to see what she carries.
