JLo X Coach

Let me preface this by saying I was feeling very optimistic about JLo being the new face of Coach and was happy they were going with a more mature celeb. But I just saw this picture on Instagram and yikes, not my vibe at all. I guess they are trying to be gritty and provocative but that pic and goodness that coat just looks trashy and tacky to me. I know this ad is not about the bags, but Coach clothing, still, not feeling good about this collab now. Thoughts?

Lol  I am not a fan of most clothing Coach does. There were some trench coats they had at the outlets I liked but I have disliked every runway outfit they have come up with. I'm guessing many people in their actual customer base also cannot relate to their style when it comes to clothing.

Other than the turnlocks, one could buy a similar ensemble at H & M, ASOS, Target, etc. Definitely does not make me want to buy their clothes.

The only coach item on her is the coat. She’s wearing an Hermès belt and another designer’s jeans. I’m kinda surprised they are posting a mix of clothes instead of head to toe coach but maybe this gives it a more realistic vibe?

Just because she is the new "face" of Coach doesn't mean she actually carries the bags. I really doubt she will stop carrying her Hermes bags. Also, I hate to bust bubbles but she isn't a "real" designer. She had a couple of brands that paid for her name and likeness but everything was created by real designers. That goes for the same for 99.99% of all the other celebs out there too minus Melissa McCarthy who went to school for it before she became an actress.
