Here is my jewelry box/cabinet

Meg, you're jewelry cabinet is AWESOME! I've got to figure out something to do with mine. Right now I've got a lot of it in at least a dozen Prestige stackable boxes while 2 dresser drawers are full of boxes of pearls & various items in individual boxes. I like the Prestige boxes with the clear top to see what's inside plus the stackable factor but they're taking up so much room where they're at on the dresser. I've got to come up with some sort of shelving case to put them in. I have tons of pearls since it's my birthstone & my husband is always giving me something new.

I love how you have yours so organized. Is yours an actual separate cabinet or is a cabinet in your closet? I just love the bracelet tree & neck forms.

Thanks so much CD. Mine is an actual cabinet that I had built into the closet that I designed. Prior to having the closet made. I had one of those standing jewelry boxes that was the same sort of idea but on a smaller scale. Here are a few more pictures of the space. You could do the same with any small dresser. I just bought the ring foam holders on eBay and cut them to fit the drawer. I also bought the plastic inserts for things that need to lie down. These are old pictures as my jewelry cabinet keeps growing and changing. :D

OH, Meg!! You've built my dream closet!! :woohoo: LOL My DH thought I was crazy when I talked about how I wanted the closet built in our next house. That is until I showed him how much more room there would be in the bedroom. I want separate hanging areas for both of us as well as drawers for all our folded clothes & shelves for shoes, boots & purses. I'll have built in cabinet for my jewelry. I haven't decided if I want the jewelry in an island cabinet or along the wall. My DH says the closet would wind up being as big as another bedroom. LOL He's right, it would. I'm seriously thinking about converting one of the bedrooms into a closet.

Have you had any problems with any of your jewelry tarnishing in your cabinet. That's one of the things I like about the Prestige boxes. They really keep my jewelry shiny & tarnish free. I had found some velvet pearl strand boxes on Ebay several years ago & bought 4 but I wish I had bought 8 since I can't find them any more. I have a large 3 drawer Prestige necklace box & it's full of nothing but pearls. I would have to get another one to put the rest of my strands in. The only strand that I'm missing at this point is a Golden South Sea strand.

I actually had my closet built above the master bath. It isn't as big as the bedroom, but it is 202 sq. ft. I did a thread on it a few years ago. Here is the link.

Thanks for the link to the thread. You did an amazing job. That's one fabulous dream Lady Cave!! I am so impressed with the boutique feel of it all & I love the lighting choices! I would love to do something like that but the roof pitch on this house over the Master bedroom & bath isn't high enough. The closet in the MB is very small & I have to share it with my DH. I've already branched out to the closet in our youngest son's room since he has now moved out & is on his own. In fact, I've put almost all my bags in that closet's shelves. Along with my winter clothes.

I just love that spiral staircase!! I don't think something like that would work for me though. I'm at the point where I want less stairs, not more. And I know for a fact, my Rottweilers would have a tough time navigating that spiral. They will follow me all over the house & would feel the need to follow me to the closet as well.

You should consider designing closets for others. You definitely have quite the eye for detail & space management!

Hi all, been lurking for a while enjoying all these beautiful pictures of stunning jewellery.

Here is my engagement ring, just reset recently. It is a 3.6 ct forest green sapphire, with 0.5ct each heart shaped diamonds on each side and with a halo of round diamonds. I love it!

Thanks so much CD. The staircase is dangerous for dogs. Nick and Beau never tried to go up them, but Misha is like your dogs he follows me everywhere. He got half way up one time and fell all the way down. Luckily he wasn't hurt. Since then I carry him up if I am going to be up there a long time. If not I tell him to stay and he does, but I don't linger. The stairs are a really good workout though
