“Allegedly” he objected to her commercialization of their intimate life, in spite of specifically asking her not to, and she wrote the lyrics anyway.

Interesting speculations, but ultimately only they know the full story. Hope the kids can remain friends, seems they formed some strong bonds

Excuse me? Investing in an alcohol brand would make him relapse?? Unless she has it all over the house and is drinking in his face, how is her investing in an alcohol brand triggering for him. Reaching much?

He seems like a bit of a Debbie Downer for her. I don’t think he enjoyed living life her way all of the time. I don’t know how he likes to spend his free time (aside from eating Dunkin) but clearly it isn’t doing the things she likes to do. And I don’t think she liked doing his stuff. Like, you’d never see her on the back of his motorcycle looking a little ratty but still having fun.

The sexual chemistry must be really intoxicating between the two of them. But outside of that I guess there’s not much in common. Her ego is big enough that she thought she could change him. And maybe he thought he could change her.

Yes, if only A rod had been able to keep it in his pants. They both would be living la vida loca.

They certainly seemed much more compatible. Similar Latino backgrounds, both fame whores, both big egos, and even though he was a cheater, he genuinely seemed to love her. Plus I think their kids got along well. JLo's kids' heads must be spinning, with all the men through the revolving door.

They were compatible, but he got the better deal being with her - money wise and media attention wise. His star was fading and no one cared about him until he got with her and people remembered who he was. They went into business together - remember?

Ben, for all his faults, didn't need a thing she had to offer, not money, not movie connections, not music and not social media. Only her love and support as a spouse.

I was always wary of A-Rod. The same way I'm wary of Tre and Luis from New Jersey. Compatible, yes, but one is getting the desired 'more' out of the relationship.

Agree! It's rare to have a marriage of equals at that level of celebrity. It's sad, though, for both of them because now they have to start all over again. How depressing.

Speaking for myself, I wouldn't want to start again, I think I'd just be single and live my life. :biggrin:
