No. The Jacksons have always had naturally large/prominent cheeks...Joe & Katherine, Janet/her siblings, most Janet's nieces/nephews, and Janet's son Eissa have either have large cheeks or prominent cheeks. Janet's cheeks are just more prominent when she is thinner (like she is now) but when she is heavier they are not as prominent but still large like when she was a toddler/child. Janet's oldest brother Jackie actually has always had the most prominent cheekbones of all the Jacksons.

Because Janet is short in comparison to Tyra. Tyra is 5'10 (but technically over 6 feet in the picture since she is wearing heels) while Janet is 5'4 wearing flat boots while standing on a cushion/chair in the picture.

Janet obviously doesn't look as short next to Tyra when she is wearing heels but there is still a height difference.
