Being a Janet fan for many years I've come across so many interviews with people who have worked with Janet (i.e producers, dancers, background singers, band members,etc -- Not that you guys have to listen but here is a playlist of many interviews that some of Janet's current and former crew members have done with a journalist who is also a huge Janet fan which give insight to what it was like to work with Janet - www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUpIAP5RMDUc9zC5sALNZRviBCBvoDywL -- very interesting interviews to hear because they give great details about Janet's creative process for her various' works throughout her career) but one of the things I've always loved to hear and it seems one of the most consistent things you hear from the people that have worked with Janet is that many will say that despite Janet being "Janet Jackson" (meaning her being this music legend that has been around the spotlight since she was a kid because of her family's musical journey starting with The Jackson 5 then Janet performing since she was 7) is that many of her current and former employees say she doesn't have an ego.

Many of her former or current employees mention that while yes Janet has a strong work ethic and has this major presence about her because she is "Janet Jackson" she also has this big heart, is gracious, and is about spreading love. So many of them also mention how Janet very much tries to make her work space a family atmosphere (i.e. Janet dinning with her employees, having group celebrations/outings/vactions, giving gifts to her employees, meeting with her employees' families, having employees stay with her, helping employees out when needed, etc.). Always thought that was great to hear because many of her current or former employees in interviews also say unlike many artists they had worked with prior/after working with Janet...It is Janet that has been in the business longer than a lot artists yet they weren't like how Janet was as a boss (a great boss) as well as Janet being someone they consider to be their friend.

Janet brought out her friend and rapper Missy Elliott as a guest performer during the Atlanta show of her State Of The World Tour to perform their song "BURNITUP!"
