Janet and her brother Randy returned back to Gary, Indiana. Janet had a show in Chicago last night and has a show in Toledo tomorrow but on the off day from tour they visited Gary,Indiana. They visited the original Jackson house and Roosevelt High School

-They also visit the auditorium where the Jackson brothers had some of their earliest performances.
-They visit Roosevelt High School where they are interviewed by students there. Janet talks about her son Eissa, her career, the music industry, what she does in her free/off time, her few memories of Gary, who inspired her musically, who she likes in music now (Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, and Chance The Rapper) , says she considers her biggest accomplishment her son Eissa, who she would like to collaborate with on music (no one person in particular but does mention she and Bruno Mars have talked about collaborating), Doesn't have a favorite album of her own but considers her Rhythm Nation album very relevant today as the messages she wrote about when she made the album are still happening today, and is grateful/blessed/excited/proud to be back in Gary

It must be weird to visit the town you came from. I feel like she was so young that most of her childhood memories are probably from being on the road.

Omg I'd love a Janet and Bruno song! Hurry up already lol.

Yeah it probably was weird to visit the town and house she came from. Janet really didn't even get to experience Gary compared to her parents and the rest of her siblings because all the other siblings were older (4 to 16 years older than her) so they grew up in Gary. The Hayvenhurst Estate (California) is where she grew up and she was also on the road performing at a young age as well. She mentions in the Q&A video she is grateful/blessed/excited/proud to be back in Gary because that is where everything started for the family but also mentions she left when she was 2 and this was her first time being back since she was 8.

Teyana was meant to attend the State Of The World Tour show in Milwaukee last week but her flight got delayed so she missed the show but did have a Face Time conversation with Janet last week before attending the Detroit show:
