I be been pleasantly surprised in the past from my Japanese purchases. What a great spring bag!
I agree. I've had good experiences with Japanese resellers, mainly because they post decent photos (except for this time) and you know what you're getting.

I don't buy the super-worn, blackened-handles ones, but I admit it warms my heart to see Balenciaga so broadly adopted as an everyday bag in Japan. I mean, they are really using the hell out of their bags, all workhorses! I find that endearing, even if I don't personally buy them.

Final confession: I know no boundaries and will carry this bag even in the winter. Will probably bust it out next week.

Confession: I was naughty again.
Full disclosure: I was still gutted after someone swooped in and nabbed that pine green Giant 21 hobo before I could back in December. So I kept searching and this little babe popped up. A 2011 Vert Sauge day with giant rose gold hardware and the price was an absolute steal. (Less than I paid for any other day or hobo I own). The color is perfect. As I wanted something either green or teal in the day style for spring and summer.
It is a bit more dry than other Bals I have, but I do also own an arsenal of leather moisturizer so not a problem.

Oh yeah carry it now by all means!

My floral city arrived in lightning speed from Japan. I was expecting it to be in shambles given the price and how utterly blurry every single listing photo was. But it’s near pristine, with slight dryness/cracking along the edges and underside of handles. But zero darkening of handles and otherwise clean and the leather soft and supple.

I would dare say it has soft blue undertones. I was debating between holding out for. Turquoise day with giant gold hardware, but when this popped up in my searches I thought it would suffice nicely. Plus giant rose gold hardware?! It was different
I love green and or blue handbags and since I was sad about losing a green 21 hobo, this fit the bill. Vert Sauge means sage green and I always think of sage (the plant) as being just a little bit more blue.
