Since you are in the Bay Area, I recommend signing up for the waitlists at the Chanel SF boutique and Chanel @ Neiman Marcus boutiques in SF, Walnut Creek, etc. They make minis every season but the color of the hardware is different every season. I have some contacts for SAs in the Bay Area if you want to DM.

I highly recommend shopping via the boutique if this is your first time buying Chanel. Minis are so overpriced when sold by resellers and the retail price is already so expensive! You also can’t beat the first time you buy a Chanel in store :)

Thank you! The Walnut Creek NM actually closed down! I would love SA referrals if you don't mind sharing :) ...or should I just go to the boutique to make a connection and meet an SA?

Yes, caviar minis are discontinued. I haven't had the chance to use my lambskin one too much because of covid but the times I have used, I've loved how it looks - but definitely conscious of how delicate it is. That being said I prefer the mini vs. the small or medium classic flaps because the chain is long enough to wear it crossbody, and I don't carry much with me/don't need a larger bag.

I do think it's worth it to make the trip to the boutique to connect in person with a SA. You could also search the recommendations thread for a SA in SF and try texting them to get on the list, but they don't always respond. If you don't buy anything on the first trip, you might need to go back a second time to pick up the mini when you get in off the waitlist. If you get connected with a friendly SA via text and they are able to add you to the list, you would save yourself a trip. If you plan on buying more Chanel in the future I do think it's helpful to have that personal connection with a SA. Just my 2 cents. Good luck!! Please keep us posted on how it goes. New stock should be arriving to boutiques soon so hopefully it's not a long wait - I got mine around this time last year.

Looking for SA who has the small/medium cocohandle ($4500 new price) in beige coming out for 21a. I have 4 SAs from different boutiques and none of them are getting it.
If you have a SA that's getting it, please let me know.
