There are a lot with the top flap almost all blue or all pink etc. hoping to find one with a lot of color variation and gradient.
Hi ladies, I'm looking to purchase my first Chanel handbag. I've got a caviar wallet from about 10 years ago and finally ready to take the plunge on a bag. I'm in the Bay Area and looking to get a mini bag (rectangle mini flap or coco handle mini) in a neutral/classic color (gray, black, beige).
Can someone please point me in the direction of what to do? There's always a long line at my store and I've heard they have limited stock so I never waited in line... also it's about an hour away. From what I've read, there's a new collection that comes out every few months but it seems like everything sells out so fast. If anyone has any posts I can read or any SA recs, please let me know! Thank you

Hello! I can only speak to my experience with a black lambskin mini, I don’t know much about the coco handle. They tend to come out with black minis frequently so that is probably your best bet if you want something soon. With beige and grey, that would be a seasonal color so you would likely have to reserve way in advance of release given how popular both those colors and minis are.
if you want to buy from the boutique and are willing to wait a little while, I would highly suggest this route rather than paying a premium to a reseller. Typically for your first Chanel purchase, you have to make it in person and then you can order remote (not sure if you will still be in their system after 10 years). If you are willing to make the trip to the boutique, I think you can schedule an appointment ahead of time online and then not have to wait in line. If you plan to purchase more in the future, it’s my opinion that this is a worthwhile journey as you can then have orders shipped to you in the future.
Have the SA place you on the waitlist for these bags. For my black mini, it was about a month of waiting before my SA texted me that he had one. They tend to make black minis almost every season but each store only gets a few. Good luck!

Thank you so much! This is really helpful. I don't want to rush into getting anything so I don't mind waiting for the perfect one to come along; I'd also rather by direct than from a reseller. Do you think the best way is for me to make the trip out to the boutique to meet an SA and let them know what I want?
I hear caviar minis have been discontinued so I might have to get a lambskin as well. How are you liking yours?
I can only speak for black rectangular mini. I heard that the NM boutique at Palo Alto is getting a shipment during the summer. There’s a waitlist though and I don’t know how long the waitlist is. If you are interested, pm me for SA’s contact. Or you can go directly there and ask.
