Is this price just offensive?

I don't think it's worth that price, but I actually don't think it's trendy. It's not as if lips are a big trend now the way that say skulls were a couple years ago. If you really love it, you could slip it on now, or 5 years from now, and get the same funky vibe.

I know Betsy Johnson has a whole lip line. I do not know if it was her interpretation of this lip ring or if it is just because lips are in style now. Plus, I saw a sparklier version of this ring in Vogue. It was by the same designer, but it was done with rubies.

Laura Geller (make up artist) was wearing a lip ring on QVC.com last week.
And I saw a girl at the mall wearing one. I think it is a trend, but if you like lips then I'd get a ring. Just not that really expensive one...

This is coming from someone who almost spend a similar amount on a Hello Kitty necklace until I was jerked back to reality. LOL........

Spending $1500 on this ring is as offensive as spending the same amount on a Celine Boston tote or any other "of the moment" bag.

I wouldn't feel comfortable with spending that much on a sterling and enamel ring, but I am hard on my rings and would probably chip it within the month. I have invested much more in earrings and necklaces because the are usually safer. Ultimately, you need to decide if it works for you.

lol i clicked on the link with the ring.. and my boyfriend thought it was a.... (i'll keep it PG here) lady part.

after thinking about it, i'd have to agree with him lol.

not a good look.

Wow. I'm so glad you passed. I found it in very poor taste, and with a ridiculous price tag to boot. If you're going to buy really trendy items, I personally would not pay that much for them. You will get tired of it whereas with a timeless piece you will still enjoy it years later.
