Is there any Chanel that could handle a laptop?

^I've always been a PC sort of gal but viruses have made me go to the Mac side. So far, I love it...super light and functional. I'm learning a brand new language.

I carried her in a Gucci shopper the other day prior to getting the Incase... and I was so afraid of scratching her with my personal items. That's why I would keep the Air separate from purse functions. The Incase is very light... wouldn't notice that you have a laptop on your shoulders!

I have the same problem, most Chanel bags don't fit a laptop or three ring binder and I refuse to carry more than one thing. Last year I got this tote and it easily fits my macbook, with or without it being in another case. I have not seen it in stores for a few months but I did see fashionphile has one.

Thanks for the feedback Saks4me :) I will definitely check out the Incase ... just in case ;)

It's great to know you're happy as a PC girl, because I've never owned a Mac either... hopefully I can learn quickly!

Strange question. I know Chanel's are delicate...but....I'm a student and even when I graduate I will likely carry a laptop. With that, do any of you lovely TPFers have any recommendations for a Chanel that might be able to handle one??

I have a vintage briefcase (see below) but it just doesn't seem sturdy enough to hold the laptop day in and day out. Are there any backpack like bags that might work?

IMO.. I doubt most Chanel handbags will be that sturdy to carry a laptop in it all the time... I guess it's better to buy a laptop bag for ur lappy instead :) otherwise your Chanel will give way very fast...

I love your vintage briefcase!!

I wouldn't recommend putting your laptop in any Chanels. Imagine the power cord rubbing against the lining of your Chanel? :sweatdrop: :push: If you have a tablet or very lightweight laptop (macbook Air, for example), then I might recommend the Cerf Tote.

Thanks bluekit!

Ooh a Cerf Tote, I didn't even think of that! It's a fairly small laptop and the battery is typically long enough that I don't need a power cord; the program I am in just encourages we use them for notes.

I figured it might get a few :faint: and :sweatdrop: when I asked hehe.

You might also consider a GST if your laptop is not too heavy....

Indeed, a macbook air fits in the first or last compartment of the GST. I would recommend putting it in the first compartment, because in the last compartment there's a pocket with a zipper, the zipper could scratch your laptop if you put your laptop there. Good luck!

OMG, where did you get that bag? It's amazing! Anyways, if you want a look-alike option try the Knomo Slim. It has a black quilted exterior and it even has "Chanel-burgundy" interior so it kind of looks like the colour-scheme my 2.55 :) If you have a 15" look for the "Knomo Slim 15" - it's SUPER affordable ($79) and really great. There's also a 13" option. It's really slim and sometimes I shove it into my LV Icare, or whatever tote bag I'm carrying that day. Each bag has a unique ID tag so you can "register" it and in case it goes missing someone can return it to Knomo, who then contacts you. I like to carry mine by hand but it gives you a strap option. I'm not gonna lie, I heard about this brand because I saw this on none other than Ms. Pippa Middleton.

BUT! If you do happen to find something that works as a laptop bag, let us know and post pictures! Curious to see!
