Is the empreinte Melie too big for me?

It's all a matter of personal taste (or "attitude" as some may say)... I'm around 5'1" and weight around 100 lbs. I use my Speedy B 30 with the greatest pleasure even though some may think it's too large for my frame. If you're having doubts, it may be a sign that YOU find it too big. Good luck deciding...

I am 4'11 and I tried on the Melie and loved it!!!! but I like large hobo's - I have a delightlful, duomo hobo, and artsy empriente
try it on again. if you settle for something else then you'll wish you had bought it....or keep waiting LV will always have another style coming soon

It is a difficult decision. It's an expensive one too.... Looking at the photos again, it does look large on you (same as my Speedy 30's look on me probably). However, if you love it and are sure you'll have a good feeling when you're carrying it - then get it. If not, as Lvaneltine says, LV is bringing out new styles all the time. Again, good luck.

Well it is quite large on you, but because it's a hobo (as opposed to something structured) it seems to make it work because they're meant to be oversized and deliciously squashy. They've always struck me as the equivalent of a child's favourite blanket in the sense that you can cuddle right into them and they'll cuddle you back
