I think it is slightly smaller and it has a different shape. I tried the Spontini on in person. I thought it was awkward as a cross body because of non-removable handle that got in the way. If you still like the Melie then get it. It's really up to your comfort level of how to carry it.

I think it looks great as a shoulder bag, loved the second picture. The angle the first pic was taken I think makes the bag seem odd in that photo since we're looking down on it. I also think oversized bags might be making a comeback too... Either way this hobo looks great on your shoulder [emoji4]

Agree with several about with the long strap it looks huge. With the regular shoulder strap it looks great. Someone else mentioned the Bagatelle as being similar. It is and is a tad smaller than the Melie. It is being discontinued, but may still be out there. I think it's quite a bit more expensive if I remember correctly. But, if you love the Melie you should get it. I love it in the monogram and think it's a perfect hobo.

Unfortunatly the Bagatelle isn't available anymore...

I think it looks great on you but you might want to try the Spontini. I just tried the Melie and the Artsy in empreinte the other day, like the Melie so much more than the Artsy and I think it is my next LV.

I will try the Spontini too, I'm curious and before I didn't think about her.
I like the Melie shape best, however, and I love the blue-red combo.
Artsy is too big and heavy...

It's all a matter of personal taste (or "attitude" as some may say)... I'm around 5'1" and weight around 100 lbs. I use my Speedy B 30 with the greatest pleasure even though some may think it's too large for my frame. If you're having doubts, it may be a sign that YOU find it too big. Good luck deciding...
