is it too flashy/tacky for a 25yr old to wear a rolex?

not at all! i got my first rolex when i was in high school. i used to wear it everyday. if ppl asked about it, i'd just say it's fake. you don't want to show off when you're still in school.

Not at all. If you love it, wear it. My grandmother presented me with my mother's vintage Rolex at 15-16. I wore it everyday to school and I still wear it now

Not at all... I also got my first Rolex in my 20s, and prior to that, I've been wearing designer watches (Omega, Tag, etc...) since I went to university. The style you describe is completely not flashy, and it's great that it has sentimental value.
IME, people hardly ever notice when I wear my Rolex since it's a model similar to yours, stainless Datejust, so it's sporty, but not blingy.

I actually told my dad I wanted a men's Rolex and he's like .. well you have good taste haha. I don't think it's flashy or tacky, if you love it then go ahead and wear it.

I think it is awesome that you have such a wonderful father and you should wear his watch proudly. If it really bothers you at work, then save the Rolex for all the times you are not at work.

I am 28 and just bought my first Rolex last year at 27, so your age is definitely no biggie. Like another poster said, if you maxed out your cc's to get it, that would be a whole other story. Wear it and love it!
