Is Botkier over?

I have a number of bags ranging from LV, 2 Paddingtons, 2 MJ Stams, Chloe Silverado and Kooba Sienna (not sure about the Koobas) and can say without a doubt my three Botkiers (2 Triggers and 1 Bianca Satchel) are some of my favourites. I use each of them regularly and love the fact they are such fabulous bags without all the 'it' bag hype. I adore them!

i dont really like the trigger or the older styles but the new bianca in black is really quite nice. It has a unique look and more glam than their previous bags. a great improvement in my opinion.

I kind of got turned off on Botkier when I saw that Bloomingdales started carrying them. Same with Kooba (well, the whole overload of Sienna Miller turned me off on Koobas, but that's a different story/post. ;) )

I still like Botkier but have yet to get one. I tried to go to the Botiker sample sale at thier warehouse in Soho but the line to get in was two hours long!

So I say that they are still hot.

There is an Ebay seller that I have bought from many times and right now she has quite a few Botkiers up for sale. Her ebay ID is Savefashionwearcouture. I also have bought from Surf*goddess and she currently has a Stirrup for sale at a pretty low price.

I guess I'm the only one who never knew Botkier had even started, much less anything about it being over. When I first saw Botkier about a month ago I actually thought it was a knockoff Balenciaga bag. But I guess nothing is over if the individual who carries it still loves it!

I much prefer not seeing everyone and their grandma carry a bag I have. Exclusitivity is a great thing IMO.

I can't wait till Botkier has their sale again. I'll probaby pick something up from the website.

How do you order in their website?

Humm, I don't know if they're "over" or not. They still seem to be a hot brand though.
That said I think I may sell my black trigger on ebay. It's too much like my balenciaga black city, and I feel like I don't need both, ya know?

I still like the Botkier Trigger bag, but I try to only buy bags that I know that I will still love whether or not they are "over". I buy bags that fit well into my wardrobe, and I like to have bags at varying price points. My Botkier triggers are for days when I don't want to have to worry about "babying" a bag. They look great, hold up well, go with everything in my wardrobe, have nice leather, great functionality, and come in a million colors. You can't beat that! I also tend to purchase them when I can get them for half off at the end of a season and/or with coupon codes:yes:

I've got a Clyde and i love it...it's practical, yet stylish.....i don't think Botkier will ever be 'over' - much like any other bag, if you bought it because you like it then it should never go out of fashion (until it's time for a wardrobe clearout:p):smile1:

I definitely think that Botkier has more staying power than say Bulga or something super trendy. However, I don't think it will ever be as big as say LV,Coach, etc. I actually prefer this because I would hate carrying such a ubiquitous bag--I like that no one else at my job has one:) I have the Patagonia Clyde, Black Clyde, Black Bianca, and nude trigger. I love the organization of all of them and the leather quality.
