Is B/K/C not that hard to get anymore?

I don’t think so? I was under the impression were it not because my vey specs at FSH I would have been offered a kelly instead of B in my ideal size not long ago. I thought it’s more about what bag was made within a periodic window.
While all this is being discussed, I have one question,

Out of B/K/C...what is the hardest to get now? This always fluctuates. Before overall it was C, then a B for a bit, and now I hear Ks are super difficult.

I would think in general it's hard to sell jewelry for a profit. Maybe Cartier and VCA, etc., not a problem but jewelry like brooches are not worn that much (if at all) where I am. Also, it''s not really in good taste (not to mention safety) piling on the bling. I speak from where I sit. Of course in wealthy countries or cities there are occasions to dress up, parties or weddings. My point is that jewelry usually is a risky collectible. This is why people advise to buy it if you love it and will wear it. That way changes in jewelry styles, gold prices and resale values won't matter quite so much.

Well gold holds its value very well. In india, gold is very valuable and 22k gold holds majority of its value when you try to sell. I am indian which is why I say this. If you bring Cartier or VCA to an indian jeweler, they will only look at grams of gold, not the brand. So 18k is worth very little there and thus very hard to find.

I have been following members' offers on this forum, and there are more offers of C18 than K25 or K28. Also B25 has been mentioned more often in offers than C18.

From my own experience, in the last few years, kellys are the hardest to get, especially in small sizes, followed by birkins and then constances.

That's true, my SA told me it's way harder to get a kelly in neutral colour than birkin, seems the market has been flooded with birkin which makes the bag kind of tacky IMO, lol

My SA knows the wife prefers Kelly bags because of the ability to wear crossbody. Most of her offers are Kelly heavy and then a Birkin comes into the mix here and there. No urge of Constance so we don’t get them offered. The one time the wife asked the SA said “it’s not you. Don’t bother”.

It started last year during our Summer vacation in HongKong. Knowing that it is one of the hardest place to get a Kelly or Birkin, my DH and I just simply went in to Hermès to try our luck. We straight forward asked for B30 to a nice and friendly young SA and after taking my information, she asked us to look around. Soon after, a much senior SA approached us and asked me series of questions (my knowledge about Hermès, details of my requested Birkin etc). Since I am kind of familiar with Hermès types of leathers & color names, I was able to answer her questions. She told us to wait and couple minutes later, the young SA came to us with big smile on her face and brought us upstairs to a private room. I was very excited and tried to keep my composure. Inside she offered us a GHW Blue Paon Birkin 30 in Clemence leather which we said yes. I was really in shock and can’t believed it at first. While wrapping twillies on , she told us that we were very lucky to get this Birkin on first attempt in HongKong and I couldn’t agreed more. I kept thanking her and promised to keep in touch. So, that’s my first Birkin purchase with 2 twillies and no other purchases. It’s hard to believe but H miracles do happen. 6 months later , we went back to Hermès during long layover in HongKong and get offered Constance 24. I politely declined since I only like Birkin or Kelly. They didn’t have any Kelly but offered a Blue Encre PHW B35 in Togo leather. Such a beautiful color and of course we took it. This time I also bought silk in wallet and my husband got a belt. Those were my experiences of getting Birkin In HongKong.

That's incredibly lucky in Hong Kong! May I know if this was in the flagship store at Landmark Prince’s Building in Central?

My first quota bag offer was a kelly 28 togo w/ GHW about a month ago. I don't know why I took it, I hate it :)

I don't think you are alone on this one. There are a number of tpf members who find the Kelly (especially the Retourne) to be cumbersome and fussy to open and close. I love my Kellys and don't mind the extra seconds it takes me to open/close the bag, and there are loads of tpf members who feel the same.

Everyone likes different things  I'll bet you will love the Birkin when you get one!

I know! I wanted a birkin (I have plenty but from resellers cuz I am so specific on color) but I thought, wow kelly seems to be where it’s at these days. And a black kelly ghw would be iconic for my first official offering right? So I caved, and even that night I was irritated with trying to open and close the darn thing! I am into easy and maintenance free, so I think you’re right. Birkin will hopefully be next in some amazing color (like evergreen). And I will know to stick with what I like from now on. But I got caught up in it all!
