I just received my gorgeous Lady Bag in Sand from NAP. I'm so mad at the way it was packaged. It was in it's dustbag wrapped in tissue and placed in the shipping box. I have never spent this much money on a purse where they didn't put the handbag in a box of some type. They included a free tape measure and that has left an imprint on the leather flap. I'm extremely disappointed. I'm loving the bag and obviously can't exchange. Does anyone think the imprint will lift or know of a way to help (not showing in pics as bad as it is IRL) This was not a good first experience with NAP. TIA.

Why can't you exchange it?
The imprint will lift I believe. In Chanel forum there's a thread where people show you how to fix wrinkles on lamb skin. I think you can do the same.

I would definitely complain. It should have come in the standard black NAP box. Usually their packaging is quite nice actually. I've never bought an MG from NAP but I remember seeing others on this thread who did and their bags came in the black box inside the shipping box.

Sorry for your treatment-that is generally not the case with NAP. I would maybe call and express your disappointment. See if they are willing to do anything. Your bag is beautiful though.

My MG ladybag from NAP came beautifully wrapped in their black box. You should definitely call them.

The kink will soften, I imagine, but not the way you want to get your bag!
So sorry!

Thank you everyone for your responses. I'm definitely going to get in touch NAP. I'm hoping the crease will soften over the next few days. Going to condition tomorrow with Bickmore Bick 4 that I use on all my bags.

Sorry to hear that your bag arrived in the condition that you described. If you haven't already condition the bag, and if you haven't already called NAP, the first thing you should do is take lots of photos, close-ups and far. Then call NAP to see if they can give you a discount for this flaw. They will ask you for photos, so be prepared to send them. I've done this for a Valentino leather flap handbag that I ordered from them. It came with imprints on the backside because it was stacked on top of another bag (a studded one). And unfortunately it was sold out so they couldn't replace it with another. After seeing my photos they offerred me 10% off, final sale; I accepted.

When checking out you actually get the option of the basic packaging (just tissue paper inside the cardboard box) or the signature black box packaging. Sometimes the basic packaging is the default and I assume that's what has happened here. They usually pack items well but they pack them as per the order details. I have learned to always double check the packaging selected when placing an order because mine tends to default back to basic randomly.

Agree with the above. This is probably what happened. Weird that they sent a tape measure though.

Thanks for the advice. I haven't gotten around to writing them yet this morning. I am definitely going to take lots of additional pictures.

That may be what has happened. That is a terrible default. With the expense of the items on NAP they should automatically come in the black box. Huge disappointment since I have watched unboxing's on YouTube and the packaging looked great. My Black Lady Bag was packaged amazing from MatchesFashion.com without me requesting a box. I definitely have learned my lesson purchasing off websites I have not used before.

Matches fashion is actually the same you can select a box or "eco packaging" which is a plain box with tissue but theirs seems to always be defaulted to their box and you have to actually select the plain box if you want it where as net a porters seems random. (I prefer matches boxes!)
