If it was just on the 6th, it could take more time. Coach takes up to 2 weeks sometimes, and even though you had good luck with Dillards, the one return I had with them took a few weeks. Plus there has been Covid staffing shortages and weather issues in parts of the country slowing things down.

But since it has been over a week you could always call them.
Thanks! I'm planning on waiting until the 20th. I hate complaining formally. I don't seem to have a problem complaining to you guys!

By the way, the guys working on our house are so nice and polite! I thought construction workers would be a little rough, but even talking to each other, they say please and thank you. Their mamas would be so proud!

It was hard to find anyone to take the job. Then we were worried about this contractor because he didn't have a lot of reviews. So far, everything has been great. Some neighbor complained about them rinsing their tools in the gutter, with the runoff going in front of their house and they went down the street, cleaning up in front of several houses.

The first night there was a hiccup because they forgot to turn the water heater back on but they came right back to do it as soon as we told them. We couldn't find the right valve ourselves.

There is another family in the area that paid some contractor $50,000 for their cabinets but when they went to go pick them up, the cabinet maker said they weren't paid for. The contractor took off with their money.

I wanted to share these adorable bags I found recently. Not that I'd buy them, but they are cute!

Tory Burch's designers put a lot more effort into their year of the tiger collection than Coach did.

That’s great that the guys are nice — you never know what kind of personality you end up with. When we had a major remodel before we moved into our last house (like 15 years ago), the main guy/owner was very personable. He would call me with a question about a paint color and we would end up chatting for like 20 minutes about random stuff. He would complain about his wife, etc. We even got holiday cards from his family for a few years afterwards.

ITA! I was disappointed with coach's tiger collection and went looking for what other designers did. TB ones are better. I saw these bags too and thought they are really cute. I would fidget with that whale tail all day! Lol!

It sounds like you have a story! ;)

That's funny he became your buddy like that! He's a good businessman making a personal connection, hopefully not trying to steal you away, lol! ;)

Just coming in to say hi. I have been fairly quiet lately as we have had more winter weather than I care for this month so far, lol. I am trying to keep my spirits up as best I can! We started out the new year with temps in the 60s, and then a big winter storm the next day dropping 10 inches of heavy, wet snow that caused many trees down and power outages from 1-8 days (luckily I was on the 2-3 day plan, but it felt like an eternity when it is cold outside and you are trying not to worry and to stay warm!)

Then we had a nice little break, but spent the last week hearing about a storm system coming through today, so it has been a long week just trying to be hopeful and remember that winter weather can come without power outages. So it is here today and thankfully the snow is much lighter than last time. We do have to wait it out for the day and hope we don't get too much ice and wind later, but if it stays like this, so far so good--thanks to the Lord! And believe me I have been praying a lot! :-) I would say it is pretty outside, but after the trauma of last time, it is hard to really love it. I really just want it gone, to be honest.

On the bag front, I have actually been kind of good. I bought 3 bags, but didn't keep any of them. 2 were from Coach and didn't work out--bought them on sale as to not miss the price, but knowing they may not be keepers. Funny enough as much as I loved the Hayden that I showed you all, I had to return it because they moved all of the compartments in it to different places than the old Hayden style, and it doesn't function well for me. I also bought a bag on the resale market that I liked, but sold it right away as it wasn't quite right, but was more right for the person I sold it too.

Now to not keep buying, but I am doing better! There is hope for me... maybe! lol

Those winter storms sound scary! One time we were without power on a super hot day and we stayed in a hotel! I can't imagine how horrible it would be to freeze and lose power.

It isn’t much fun to be sure! In the summer I dread outages also but when winter comes I am quick to remember how it is a little easier in the summer. But at those times you get so hot, that isn’t great either! Luckily we have a gas fireplace that had just had the tank refilled days before without knowing what was coming. It only heats a small area but is better than nothing. We had on extra layers, hats, and gloves at times. Nights were the worst. So depressing to go to bed dark and cold. Days at least had light and slightly warmer temps even if not warm. At any rate I fully appreciate heat and power and everyone here is hoping to keep it this time.

I decided I wasn’t a good pioneer and have no idea how they did it!

I wouldn't be able to handle it at all! The first day the guys worked on our house, they forgot to turn the water heater back on and I was almost crying, thinking I wouldn't get my hot bath that I felt I desperately needed since I was cold.

Hi Alexa. Sorry to hear about your winter weather and blackout — must have been kinda scary to be in the cold and the dark for days . Glad to hear that the latest storm is less harsh — fingers crossed it stays mild for you . It doesn’t snow in my area but I can recall when my DD was just a couple months old and our heater went out in the middle of winter. Being a first time parent running on very little sleep, I was a nervous wreck until it was fixed.

Good (I guess ) that the new bags you bought didn’t work out. I am not looking for any bag right now even though my credit card situation has been resolved .
