I wanted something in chalk tearose but never got around to purchasing (always something else). I kept thinking, when am I ever going to use it? So with this pandemic on-going, and who knows when things will get better, I decided now is the time. I missed out on the tearose 1941 clutch but this new bag suits me very well.

My new Cassie 19 in chalk and the chalk tearose strap I received from the FOS to go with it. I’m going to carry it as a shoulder bag and I like the two short handles it came with for satchel style. I love the look of the wider tearose strap compared to the thin shoulder/crossbody strap it came with.

To get to my $99 free shipping I bought a bag charm (insert eye roll as I need no more). I thought it had a single chain and this little clasp but FOS sent this instead and it’s kind of cute on my Sophia.

Now that I've played around with Cassie 19, she is kind of small. Adorable but definitely not the daily bag. Good thing I hadn't planned on it.

Cassie in navy and Cassie 19 in chalk.

Side profile of the two bags. You can see the chalk is slightly wider.

Sadly, my beautiful LV Clemence wallet will not fit.

And because we love handbags, I found that my Hawaii passport holder is in the same mist blue with silver hardware as Charlie 28 meadow print. I'm not going anywhere but just a fun discovery.

Love all your pretty slg's! Your navy Cassie looks so good on this picture. It almost makes me regret returning mine. I am patiently waiting for the chalk one to go on sale. Lol!

Found a photo in my phone. Here is my new KS reversible tote. My sister found another website that had it after the KS outlet teased me with it as sold out for a week. I love it! :hbeat:

Stick would have said the lovebirds were a symbol of a certain relationship he had but we all know that's toast now. ;)

Very pretty! Congrats!

Hello, friends! I've missed you! I did not intend to stay away so long. The truth is, I've been having some non covid-19 health issues for a while now. I needed to make time to take care of things. Thank God I am much improved! I am looking forward to seeing what you guys have been up to! Now I'm off to catch up with almost 50 pages!!! I have been missing out on a lot. Off to start catching up again. This might take a couple days. :sweatdrop::giggle:
Welcome back and glad to hear you’re doing better! :)

Off topic . DH and I were talking about our college years etc and somehow that triggered memories of the professors I had crushes on. I looked up two of them — and realized they are like senior citizens now. Yikes! If I didn’t feel old before this, I certainly do now.

I didn't have a crush on any of my college professors. However, there are two professors who were very instrumental for me and my classmates. They were wonderful to us and really cared about us. We have all kept in touch with them off and on through the years. We currently have a chat group with them and they both check in every couple weeks.

I've been feeling old for awhile. I've grown out my gray hair so there's that. At least DH still has his hair. I don't remember any of my professors.
I hate my gray . I try to color whenever I can so sometimes, I look older and grayer than other times . I have been told my voice and face are “young” but then my hair doesn’t match . My DH has very thick hair with virtually no gray (even though he is only 6 months younger).
I like my gray hair! It's almost like being blonde! I've never had light colored hair so it's an adventure for me. It feels healthier too. I really hated dyeing my hair. Maybe I should have experimented with changing the color to make it more fun.

My DH has a full head of hair and so does his dad. I am so jealous! I have always had very thin hair. I am getting grey hair now too, and started to color it a couple years ago. I went from black to dark brown. I'm so adventurous!

 I swear it’s the absolute truth . All the “free” cooking doesn’t come free — meaning I have to put up with all the “advice“ and demonstrations. Like things that go into the dishwasher (pots and pans) need to pass the touch test and squeaky clean test (literal squeak sound). So it stresses me out a little  that I have to check everything. Guess in the beginning, I wasn’t careful enough (or maybe still a little “sick”) so I must have accidentally left a small spot here and there (sigh). Also, apparently (as of yesterday), I don’t know how to properly/safely open an oven door when taking stuff out of the oven (ggrr). Oh well, at least I don’t have to cook and we are eating better homemade food than ever. I am not obligated to do the cleaning but I just feel guilty if I don’t (since I am not cooking)

Ok, I am annoyed for you! With all that advice, I would have said: you do it; you can do it better than I. I guess that means you are way nicer than I am. :P:angel::giggle:

I really need to stop buying bags for a long while now and it is sad. But we just financed a lot for some necessary foundation work, and I won't freak you all out about the amount, but it is a lot--more than I ever imagined. So to avoid eventually sinking, we need to do this and invest in our home. A worthy investment, but I wish it was cheaper. I am okay with the bag situation but a little shocked still. Crazy!

I'm really sorry to hear about that! I know how awful that can be. We had the same issue with our previous house - discovered during inspection for selling. Ouch! We did had to put in so much money into that, we hardly had what we barely needed for renovating the new place. Ugh! What a headache! Hang in there. You can take out your bag to admire whenever you need a little pick me up. ;)

I am having a hard time getting motivated to use a real/regular handbag (it’s been almost 5 months since I last used one). When I do go out (for a quick errand), I am still in the same LeSportsac (that I used to take only for hospitals/doctors). I don’t even use my other new LeSportsac bags. So I feel guilty for wanting to buy a new bag .

Guess no one on the island has this problem, right?
I do still switch every few days. The only difference is that I found I like my smaller bags best. But other than that I still use my bags. You aren’t alone in the real world though. Many aren’t using bags, and are taking the bare minimum to stores. So you are very normal.
I haven't changed bags since I bought my last Bal. It sits on a chair with my stuff inside and I grab it about once a week when we go for a drive. It never leaves the car except to go back into the house.

I can't understand why I still want new bags when I can't use the ones I have. I'm sad and missing using my bags.

At least I've noticed that since I've got most of the colors I wanted, I'm limiting my wants to things in the few colors I'd still like to add to my collection, a reddish purple and a metallic bronze, unless I find the vintage bag of my dreams, then any color would be fine.
I know what you mean — why am I still wanting a new bag when I don’t go out anywhere? Maybe I want to occupy my mind/time with my bag research. That’s good that you have fewer bags you want (correct?). I think I have said it before but I really mean it this time I think — I will just buy one more bag and that’s it forever (or for a long time). For sure, just one new bag this year.

I am using my smaller bags, too. I have no desire to use my bigger bags. I am unwilling to change into other bags like I used to. It's like I have no energy for that. You would think it is a huge task. Lol! Pandemic effects, I guess. My desire for more bags is still there. Sigh! Luckily, my wish list is relatively short...

You will be using your fun bags in time! I think it's good to do what makes you feel comfortable, and you'll know when you're ready for more bag adventures. I'm still rotating bags, and keep one around with me at home too.:lol: I'm not too concerned about getting germs on the bags since I don't put them down in public. I understand why you might not want to add one more thing to think about and just keep it simple.

I'm having a hard time with getting too hot in a mask. Is this just me? I do deep breathing in the mask lol, and between that and humidity, I have to change masks often. I haven't figured out how to avoid that. Part of the problem is the heat and humidity; so putting the mask on outside begins the overheating process. Hopefully it will get better, and cooler weather will help. Does anyone have tips for me? I'm in awe of those who wear the masks all day long. So forgive my complaining. I am dreaming of the day when I can smile at people indoors with my whole face.
I have only now started to get a little used to wearing a mask. At first, I would become quite anxious when putting it on. It's better now. I never knew one small body part could perspire so much!

Maybe part of it is we need to hold onto hope for better days ahead. For me, I still want to have and do the normal things, like a reminder that this time is temporary, and we will be able to have normal adventures again. Hope and having things to look forward can be powerful.
Thanks for saying this. I needed to hear it.

Lol Fun bags. I read that weird.

Also, I am like a bear, and I get hot super quickly. What I do sometimes I keep new/washed masks in the refrigerator. So when it’s hot and I need to go out, I can have something cool against my face.
Great idea!
