Ok back on the bag "ban wagon" starting.... NOW! I walked into a Savers this afternoon and saw a really great condition vintage Dooney!!!! Tag in tact and everything! I could not look such a gift from the Purse Gods in the mouth. Needs just a little rehabbing, great condition overall. Will be posting more on the Dooney board if any Coachies here are also in to Dooney.

Nice find! I like Dooney but the local department store here who used to sell it doesn't anymore, i honestly don't even know where one would buy the brand in my country now.

I can make it easy. Lol I don’t care for it a lot, and your other bags are so much better!

Well put and Agreed.

Thanks you guys!! I'm a sucker for tea rose but the colors aren't really "me". My sister talked me into it, probably because she thought I would end up giving it to her lol

The Parker is awkward in my opinion. I have tried the regular and the top handle. It has pockets that are useless because they are too tight, and the inside fits things awkwardly as well. They are really pretty, but neither of the ones I tried worked for me. I have much better luck with other small bags, such as Dinky, etc. That said, if you approach it as a once in a while or special occasion bag it might be okay. But most likely won’t be your go to on a regular basis. For me personally I try to ignore all of the pretty options as I do like some of them but don’t want to go there again. I think my frustration is that it isn’t actually all that small, but just doesn’t hold things well.

This one is on my list! I’ve wanted something in the blue canvas with brass

I don’t know if you saw my post a while back but I purchased the chalk quilted Parker and had it for all of 5 mins before returning it, I LOVED it but it came in awful shape. This signature Parker is supposed to go to SAS according to my SA.

I like the size and structure and it will work well as an evening dinner bag or for a lunch event. It fit a double zip wristlet, card case, small keys (bulky keys would probably be awkward), lipstick, and small sunglasses case. My iPhone 7 fits inside as well but I have a silicone slip case and when taken off it fits in the outside slip pocket. The phone case comes off so easily and I don’t mind going sans case when going to dinner because odds are I won’t even bring my phone out to risk dropping it.

For my smaller bags I keep my SLGs slim and compact. The Parkers probably won’t work well with bulky items but for what I’d use it for it will work great!

I got this exact Parker at Dillards for $122. I was never into Parker, but for the price I figured I'd chance it. My large phone fits easily in the back pocket (in its' slim case) and inside I can fit a soft wallet, sunglass case, key fob, gum and chap stick. I don't carry much else, but could easily slip a card case or 2 in there as well. I agree with @Syren that it works great if you carry slim vs. bulky items. I also like the 3 strap options that you can change in seconds vs. unhooking and doubling a strap on other bags.

Hi ML. I just want to say I really like the look of this bag (I don’t usually like Coach signature items but really like it done in navy blue like that, plus the pretty flower clasp/lock). I agree with others that this might be good for a small occasion or weekend bag. Perhaps wait for a better sale? Good luck deciding and let us know .

I don’t own one. I think they look super cute though. I’m no help.

Hi ML, did you decide yet? I love the Parker! It's one of my favorite bags because of how beautiful it is to me, and makes me smile every time I wear it because it was a gift. It was the first Coach bag I fell in love with, and it's even better in person. I agree with many points that were made, and that you need to make sure the chain lengths, style, structure, pockets etc. work for you. I do use this as more of a pretty bag. It makes me feel put together, and the inside works for me because I keep things in slim pouches/wristlets. The first time I used it, I had my sunglasses in the front area, and when I took them out, the bag fell over, but it made me laugh. I realized I have to be careful with it, but I love it so much, I don't mind.
Thank you, Ladies, for all of your thoughts regarding the Parker. I think it’s such a pretty bag in the navy and my SLGs are slim except for a cosmetic case which could be reduced. I’m quite undecided but I may have had the decision made for me as it’s gone out of stock on the Canadian website. I’m taking this as my first sign it’s not meant to be. I’m trying to decide now if I like it enough to start phoning around to track it down in store.

I remember your post about the chalk Parker. I love that bag, too. I guess I am questioning why I want a Parker when I already have two Dinkies and really enjoy carrying those bags. Do I need more? It’s that brass tearose turn lock that I really love.

Hi IM! I’m undecided and the bag is out of stock for the moment so will turn my attention to other things (a vintage shoulder bag I found today from my consignment shop). Just taking some pics for authentication. I’ll be back.

Thanks, Alexa, for your thoughts on the Parker. I like a bigger bag (Rogue, Speedy) for a go-to everyday bag, but I love the Dinkies I have for evening (and coveting your newest one—-the oxblood with grey pebbled sides) so I think it’s part of my struggle eg., I don’t need a ton of special occasion bags but that blue leather and the gold tearose are like a magnet for me.
