I didn’t realize you were serious about burning your deck. I thought it was just a ploy to get the hot firemen to your house, lol.
By the way, the cost of hiring someone to tear down and dispose the deck was $2K. And they probably would've burned the material anyway because the wood used isn't salvageable.

That's ridiculous! Are you going to build a new deck?
We are going to hire someone to build a new one. I don't think we are doing the full demo ourselves. Guessing by the work we did today, there would be 7 more burn piles after tearing down the whole thing and it would take way too long for DH by himself. DH plans on having a new deck done by end of June.
You wouldn't be allowed to burn it in California. I would have wanted to burn our old tax files. I had to pay to have them shredded.
Last week, we noticed someone had broken our gate. We hadn't heard anything but it looked like they purposely smashed it in. We just had a new one built.

No, I meant they smashed the old one. We just built the new one to replace the smashed one, so it's not that bad.
