Darn. You are just going to have to keep all those bags! Lol!

Lol, I guess 4 bags ain’t a lot for this year if I am “good” the rest of the year. Part of me thinks I should return the DB tote so that I am only up by 3 bags. But i like it the best of the three (if I had to choose one) and least expensive. I should not spend what little free time and energy I have making another trip to Macy’s

Yes yes! She is gorgeous! [emoji3514] I'm not sure I can avoid the darkening. I'll try to use the long strap more but it's not long enough for me. This is my second first. The size works great for me and the leather is amazingly soft! However, I think the design is faulty. They attached the handles on the bag leather. They really should have been attached higher up on the leather that runs across on top so as not to cause stress on the leather on the body of the bag. I see how the top piece just slouches behind the handles when carried by them. I'm afraid the leather will tear if the bag was fully loaded. Luckily I don't carry a ton, just the basics. I really wanted a town bag instead but the ones I like ( pre-2008) are currently out of my budget.
I don't think the leather will tear. They use the same type of handle attachment on larger bags. I've put quite a bit in my Velo, which is my largest Bal, and it seems fine.
You could probably add some rings or clips to extend the strap, or use a novelty strap. I think a lot of Bal designs have straps that are too short. I never considered a city for that reason, but now that I could get a novelty strap, I might get one.

Hi. An update to my April bag splurge saga. I tried to return the signature Sutton to Macy’s but was told it was past the 30 day return period for Last Act items. I didn’t know about the 30 day period. I missed it by 3 days . I would try to sell it but I don’t have time to sell (for the rest of this year ). My black bag was also a Last Act item — missed the return by 1 day. My DB tote was not a Last Act but I like it the best out of the three so I am not returning it.

So then, I ended up with 4 new bags in April (including my new Kristin). I am done for awhile. Still at a “reasonable” number of bags for a TPFer. Thanks for all your advice and sharing this saga with me
I didn't know about that restriction. I never shop at Macy's anymore. They ruined it by turning half the store into Macy's Backstage. Are you going to enjoy those bags after all?

You should keep the DB. Don't return just to keep to a certain number.

I should have looked at the receipt more closely — or the SA should have point out the 30 day return. Oh wow, your Macy’s must have a big Backstage section. My backstage is on the 3rd floor (what a hike) and so pathetic and small — nothing good — just a few MCM bags and a few other (maybe Valentino) bags locked in a glass case, the rest are like Betsey Johnson types.

I think I will enjoy my new bags since they are all good size carefree shoulder bags. I was trying to pick the best ones and return the rest (to keep my number down) but was 1 day/3 days too late. I like the signature Sutton —but I was being nitpicky about the outside pocket issue (there was a thread here about how on the signature Chaise, the outside pocket has a similar curved part over the zipper that makes it hard to open/close. I figured out how to work around it — by zipping it only to the end of the curve and not beyond it to avoid the zipper getting caught in the canvas, not sure if I explained it right). Anyways, I didn’t spend a lot on each bag — so even if I sell later, I won’t lose a lot, lol. I am mostly done for the year except possibly a special bag for my special anniversary (may have to put this on hold to help out my parents).

I committed a few sins on FOS/PCE and likely will at SAS. But, DH told me to pick out some stuff for Mother's Day and my birthday is next week. I'm guessing at least something will get returned. DH and the kids also ordered me something after I got injured while volunteering. I don't have high hopes though because he doesn't have the best taste , he said it arrives tomorrow.
Happy (almost!) Birthday! Are you okay after the injury?

Are you happy to keep them all? I hope you enjoy them if you are! It was time for you to enjoy some goodies.

I must be banned from too many returns because I haven't gotten an invite in months! Strange way to run a business!
I know this sounds counterintuitive, but try unsubscribing from emails, then see if you can log in. That worked for me, but I don't know how long it took. I tried to log in one day a few weeks later and was able to. Or sign up with a new email address. I hope something works for you.
