Your post made me think of something funny my son said today. One of his two teachers is a young teacher that is not a parent, and I think it has a lot to do with her rather high expectations about children being quiet and low key. lol. Anyway today she told them she didn't understand why they were talking so much as they had all of break to do that. I said to him, what world is she in? You are fourth graders, you are at your first day back from break, and you all didn't see your friends over break. Of course you are all going to be a bit excited and talkative.

She is very odd, and clearly doesn't understand kids much at all. I would think even one year of teaching would have helped her to understand them a bit more, but I think she needs to become a parent. Then she will get it! lol
This is cute. Hopefully for the sake of the kids and teacher, she will figure it all out. I've heard a lot of people say they didn't get various concepts until experiencing them. Once I was really sick with a sick infant and toddler, had been up all night, and a young lady said to me, "Isn't it great being sick? You have an excuse to rest." I remember when I didn't get it all (like right before the firstborn everyone said to sleep and go out as much as possible, and I was too excited to sleep, thought my birth plan would go as planned, etc...hee hee.) So it made me smile.

So true! (speaking of birth plans) For me, I think I just never did a birth plan or anything--I just kept feeling like I should be ready for whatever, and to get things ready early. And it was a good thing because my son came 6 weeks early due to preeclampsia. And then when he was in the NICU for a few weeks, of course I visited him regularly, but I did also take the time to rest up while he wasn't at home yet because the whole experience made me very tired. For whatever reason, and partly because he was a healthy NICU patient, I wasn't panicked about being there around the clock--I tried really hard to balance my time so I could be ready for when he came home. And it is a good thing because not long after he came home he had colic, and we didn't get much sleep. We had to take shifts in the night to stay up with him as he cried and screamed. Life is interesting sometimes! lol

Oh I had a birth plan to go all natural! After whole 9 months of leading up to it and 25 hours in labor I had to get over my plan in 5 min and have a C-SECTION. Lol!

Doing okay. DD had an ultrasound today, heartbeat detected folks! so probably will be a keeper she'll be due late summer.

Bag sold! it's sorta in person, you can do what is dubbed "porch pickup" so you don't have interact with folks. It's a wonderful way to buy & sell stuff.

Yeah, 6 total. 2 Roots, 2 Coach and 2 Longchamp. Sold all my other bags. Have some SLG's of coarse but that's it for bags. I just don't use them and your right my arm numbness caused by carrying things on my shoulders/crossbody kinda kill most options regardless of my opinion on them.
Congratulations! That's terrific.

We took lamaze the first time. When I actually went into labor, there was no way I could do any of it. DH wasn't home, my water broke, I called 911, and struggled to get downstairs to open the door so they wouldn't break it down. The paramedics had no idea what they were doing. You could see the contractions. When I got to the hospital, I asked for drugs and they said it was too early. Then a half hour later I was pushing. DH got there just in time to see the birth.

How scary for all that to happen on your first time!
