A small pool cleaner is a good idea. But I still think we won’t use it even if we have one . Of course, whenever we go on vaca, DD and DH always use the hotel pool. Go figure.
You don't have an automatic cleaner hooked up to your pump? That's your problem. You could get rid of the guy who cleans your pool and just get one of those. Of course, you would have to add chemicals yourself but that isn't difficult. This is the one I got last summer: http://www.lesliespool.com/Hayward-Pool-Vac-XL-Suction-Side-Pool-Cleaner/Pool-Vac-XL.htm

I think there is a filter/cleaning mechanism that is hooked up to it (it runs every day for a few hours, noisy but probably not too effective). Everything about the pool is so old (probably 20 years old?) and needing to be replaced soon. A couple of years ago, we spend couple k’s fixing a leak. Frankly, I am tired of it. Considered getting it taken out and filled in. But we will probably move soon before we can “recoup” the cost. Thanks for the link — I should look into getting a cleaner.

Will you be staying in California?

There is a leak or something in my purse room! The carpet is damp in one area. We can't figure out where it is coming from. We just got a new roof, so I think it might be coming from underneath but I don't know how that is possible.

Lol, we do have one at our current house. But DD and DH only used it once or twice in like 5 years. The problem is that the pool gets cleaned once a week but by the time the weekend comes around, it is filled with leaves and various stuff from nature (due to the surrounding). So it requires great effort to clean it ourselves before getting in the pool. We thought about a pool cover but it won’t work due to the set up. In theory, it was a great idea to have a pool but No. We won’t ever get a place with a pool again.

Haha! I’m in the same boat! Sometimes I think of just filling it in...

That sucks! Hopefully nome of your bags will be affected.

here in Miami everyone has a pool, it's unusual to find a house without a pool, unless you are in a gated community has it has a pool at the club house, we hardly ever use ours, my son in on a swim team and the last thing he wants to do is swim when he is not at practice and my girls are in college and not home most of the year.

the FOS has so many FP items this time around, I missed the sale early this morning and just looked to see almost everything sold out - did anyone take swim off the island for this sale?

I was tempted by the black regular size saddle bag (mainly to replace the same one I have now in a different color). But then I thought it would be too much work to sell the other one (to maintain the one in and one out thing). It is sold out now so dilemma resolved.

I am guessing that this is the second FOS that some has succumbed to (lol). Coachoutlet has got to stop with these good FOS sales for our ban sakes.

By the time I realized it was happening most of the stuff had already sold out. Prolly a good thing for me. I only bought one bag.

Sorry to hear about your leak. I am curious as to what is causing it. Hopefully it can be fixed easily. I am worried about all this rain we have been having although the opposite (the drought) worries me too (not worry but inconvenience and annoyance).

I hope we stay in CA because I have lived here most of my life. DH wants to retire asap and move somewhere inexpensive and preferably with no income tax (so maybe I can meet you for a day of shopping during your annual trip to L.V., lol). We can’t move until DD finishes high school.

Oh no!!! Save the purses!!!

Is there a bathroom nearby that shares a wall or is above/below the room? Or leaking from an ac vent?

It's a one story house. There is a vent in the ceiling near the wet part, but not exactly over it. If it was dripping from that vent, I would expect water to hit the shelf below it. The wall it is near is next to the garage. The water heater is on the other side of the wall, but the bookcase with the purses is right against the wall, and they aren't getting wet. I put a tray down to see if it gets wet on top.
