I didn't think it felt scratchy when I tried them on in the store. They have some that just have the weaving on the edges. Many are made of napa so they are soft. The problem I'm finding with looking at pre-loved is that they are either super big or small. Half of the ones listed are vintage textured leather that I don't like at all. I figure if I'm spending that much, it has to be the perfect color, shape and size. I found one that is a great price, is a style I could live with, but is black, so I'm wavering. On the one hand, it would be a way to try it out for not too much money, but on the other hand, it is black and the seller doesn't take returns.

I would totally do a black BV (lol). When I tried them on, I didn’t think they were scratchy then. But I was just pondering that possibility if I were to carry one for extended period with say a sweater on or a tank top with my arms exposed. (Yes, I know I overthink and scrutinize everything). Even the Napa ones are hard (on the shoulder for sure, it bothered me) when new. Anyways, good luck with your search and let us know.

I got that feeling too when I tried them on in store. But there is one lady that works in my building who has one that’s weaved all around and it looks so soft and buttery. Haha I’m with you on satchels. I love to look at them, but I have a hard time using them. When they are too structured like say the Givenchy Antigona, I would wish they were more slouchy. And when they are slouchy like the Rogue and speedy, I wish they were more structured. Haha
