well i have used the only twilly i had ,so it can be improvised with either the right twilly or scarf

I wonder if you could use a silver chain or the twilly to make a smaller loop and hang it around your wrist. I bet that will look quite special also. Great bag! So many possibilities.

Back to your question - Look at Lumine's thread - her loot from Paris and Switzerland. The Kelly wallet, maybe? But it's not below USD1000. I know some members use the Karo, so that's another option for you.
