Instant Reveal: Dufflette in Polished Pebble Leather

Hi TMWM!! Thanks for your kind feedback! I think I really like the Denim too! Oh boy, I am in trouble. I went back to the beginning of the thread and drooled over your amazing pics and mod shots. The black looks ah-mazing on you too! Oh man, these Dufflettes are just too adorable. I have never done this with any bag before but I think I may eventually end up with more than one color!

Thanks HesitantShopper - you knocked the nail right on the head (as did TMWM when she said I should go with the color I would reach for more)......I feel like Saddle would be more 'neutral' for me. I don't tend to change out my bags often (hate to admit it but I am really a one-bag girl and stick with a bag for a long time - please don't hurt me all you bag-fashionistas :lolots.

So my initial pick off the bat was the Saddle, when I went into Macy's to check them out IRL I sent hubby a pic of Saddle and he saw the WM in the background and he was like what about the orange one? So hence the dilemma began. Going back through this thread has been helpful, I think it was Aubergined who so kindly did a side-by-side comparison of her Carnelian Legacy Duffle vs WM Dufflette. Looking more closely now, and I realize it is a very subtle difference - but I am leaning towards the Carnelian shade more. I feel like such a doofus for getting so worked up over the color, but something inside me tells me that as much as I love the WM - the Saddle would be more versatile for me. I am very much a 'grab and go gal' and don't like changing out bags. I feel foolish for saying 'WM it is earlier in this thread' only to wake up yesterday and today questioning myself. Ai yi yi - third world problems. :shame:. Part of my problem is that I am pretty careful about spending and need to make sure I make the right decision.

I think I will carefully unpackage and load up Saddle and see how it grabs me. Hubby is going to at me, as he really likes WM, and always maintains that I do the opposite of what he says. Thank you for letting me ponder here as I would surely drive him mad with all my back and forth!

Lol.

I think the majority of us here can appreciate being torn on the choices and wanting to get it right, i think most have been there in waffle land so to me nothing wrong with using the thread as a sounding board for helping to decide your choice.

You should go with the color that makes you happy and comfortable regardless of which one we like better. If it's saddle, then that's the bag for you. Take your time to decide. Load each one up and carry it around the house and look in the mirror. Anytime you need advice/opinions on colors and bags, that's what we are here for . My DH and DD don't care about purses and pretty much told me not to ask them so I feel like this is a safe haven for my purse issues. I agree with you that I wish there is an outside pocket on the bag. That is why I love my legacy duffles so much. good luck deciding and let us know your decision.

I'm not totally sold on the dufflette yet because I am completely enjoying my duffles, the legacy and bleeckers alike. But nonetheless, I find that I keep coming back to this thread to see if there are any more photos. Especially the mod pics! The are great and really highlight the beauty of this bag! You guys completely changed my opinion of the dufflette... And if more colors keep coming, then I will be in major trouble! [emoji16]

I would like to see a comparison between the denim dufflette and the bleecker one on the SAS. One day

Since your DH likes the WM, would he mind (or could you forgive yourself) if you keep both? Maybe an early or late birthday, anniversary, Christmas, etc gift?

I like the way you think ChevaliereNoir! I don't think he'd mind but I personally think it's a little extravagant to buy two at once! Maybe sometime down the line if the corners don't show too much wear I'll buy another if I can find one at a knockout price!

I just exchanged the slightly blemished WM one for a perfect (!) one and took some more mod shots with a variety of different tops......I can't escape the fact that it is a lovely color and seems to go OK with a lot of my summer wardrobe as well as my fall/winter standard outfit of zip up fleece/jeans.......

I am with you, Aubergined. I love my legacy duffles but am intrigued by the denim dufflette. I want to see the dufflette in person (not yet available at my local Macy's as of last Thursday). If I like it, then I will wait for a sale at Dillard's online so I can order the denim one.

I'm not a good barometer for extravagance; I have three different colors of my favorite bag (however, I got the first on FOS, and the other two were heavily discounted on ebay; full (or close to full) price is different). I'm waiting for a good sale at Dillard's, then I'm so ordering the denim (apparently at the same time as Iamminda lol).

I'm glad the WM will work for your wardrobe! Keep us updated if you decide to stick with it, or exchange it for the saddle.

I can totally understand your dilemma. We always want to make the right choice the first time so there are no regrets after you cut those tags. Both the Watermelon and Saddle are beautiful colors on this bag (Saddle just looked terrible on me with my skin tone, hard to explain and weird I know). I think the Saddle would probably go with more but something about the shade/color of Watermelon just draws the eye to it. And I agree, an outside zip pocket would've been great!

Awesome, glad that you found a perfect one! I was surprised by how much I loved the Watermelon when I tried it on. I usually prefer more neutral (I love a good black leather bag) colors but I think WM will go with a lot. Good luck with your decision!

It is truly beautiful but I feel so much more comfortable will the Saddle. I feel Saddle is more 'me' and and I don't want to be always second guessing with the WM. I feel I can 'grab and go' with Saddle as it is so much more of a neutral.
