Congrats on your watermelon Dufflette. I also love carnelian but missed out on getting a regular size duffle in that color. I didn't know the inside lining is the same color -- how pretty is that. I would love to see the Dufflette in person some day. Enjoy!

I didn't even get round to unwrapping the Saddle - as much as I am drawn to it - it is my 'safe' neutral color, whereas I have long been attracted by the Carnelian legacy duffle and do not have anything in the orange tones. I was worried that when I got it home and looked at it in normal light that it may be too garish -- but it is actually a very pretty color! So I am going out of my safe zone for that pop of color!

Things I LOVE about the bag - the color (of course!), the wide zippered top - so easy to find what you want at a glance and love the matching WM lining - so bright inside! I was pleasantly surprised that the strap is long enough for me to wear as a comfortable (low) crossbody - I'm almost 5'9" for reference. It has a lovely sleek profile that conforms to the body in a very flattering way! It's gorgeous!

I think it looks great with your denim shirt and outfit. Nice pop of color. Is the imperfection/cut in any of the pictures? I can't tell. Do you want to post a close up of the cut? If it bothers you or you think you might sell the bag in the future, you should exchange it. Is the store far away?

I know what you mean! I'm a perfectionist, and flaws bother me to the point that I usually exchange bags if I don't notice the flaws until I get home. Otherwise, the flaws bother me forever. I hope you're able to exchange it for a perfect one, if that's what you decide to do.

I think it's a wonderful color without being too "out there" i would keep it, i have the exact same problem.. and stick to very basic color trying to step that up but it's hard lol

As for the imperfection, it is noticeable to you so exchange it, otherwise it'll drive you batty!

I know I sound like a broken record but am still drawn to Saddle knowing it is a safer color for me but adore the WM - as it is fun and different. I am finally coming to that stage in my life where I realize I need to just enjoy things and not worry about being so practical all the time. I've always been a bit 'boring/sensible' and don't buy lots of bags so like to make them work for a while.......

I am hoping that my store still has some WMs available as I looked online last night and none were available for store pick-up......... - I will take both back when I got to return the Saddle and hopefully can exchange. If not, I think I can live with the tiny, almost invisible cut.

I honestly love the Watermelon on you. It's the perfect pop of color with what you're wearing in this picture. If it was on a different bag style, I don't think I'd be so drawn to it but it's perfect on the Dufflette. I'm so in love with your previous pics of this color that I returned the Denim and I'm patiently waiting for another sale to grab this one. My son liked it best when I tried them on but I was so caught up in potentially missing the blue that I just got it instead. It's a beautiful blue but...when I received the black, I cut the tags immediately but with Denim I didn't...I should've known then. I think the Saddle would be just as pretty on you. It just really depends on if you'll feel comfortable and reach for the Watermelon as much. I'd go with the color that you'll want to use more. And I would most definitely exchange for a new one. It's your new bag and you should be completely happy with it. Looks awesome on you! Not too bright at all.

If you feel uncomfortable with the color and would feel the saddle would serve you better than go that route, you want to enjoy the bag not always be questioning the color.

That all said, the WM suits this bag and is lovely! but brighter colored bags are not for everyone... the most color i tend to here are reds... i have a Peyton satchel in a patent berry, to me that is colorful lol

Hi TMWM!! Thanks for your kind feedback! I think I really like the Denim too! Oh boy, I am in trouble. I went back to the beginning of the thread and drooled over your amazing pics and mod shots. The black looks ah-mazing on you too! Oh man, these Dufflettes are just too adorable. I have never done this with any bag before but I think I may eventually end up with more than one color!

Thanks HesitantShopper - you knocked the nail right on the head (as did TMWM when she said I should go with the color I would reach for more)......I feel like Saddle would be more 'neutral' for me. I don't tend to change out my bags often (hate to admit it but I am really a one-bag girl and stick with a bag for a long time - please don't hurt me all you bag-fashionistas :lolots.

So my initial pick off the bat was the Saddle, when I went into Macy's to check them out IRL I sent hubby a pic of Saddle and he saw the WM in the background and he was like what about the orange one? So hence the dilemma began. Going back through this thread has been helpful, I think it was Aubergined who so kindly did a side-by-side comparison of her Carnelian Legacy Duffle vs WM Dufflette. Looking more closely now, and I realize it is a very subtle difference - but I am leaning towards the Carnelian shade more. I feel like such a doofus for getting so worked up over the color, but something inside me tells me that as much as I love the WM - the Saddle would be more versatile for me. I am very much a 'grab and go gal' and don't like changing out bags. I feel foolish for saying 'WM it is earlier in this thread' only to wake up yesterday and today questioning myself. Ai yi yi - third world problems. :shame:. Part of my problem is that I am pretty careful about spending and need to make sure I make the right decision.

I think I will carefully unpackage and load up Saddle and see how it grabs me. Hubby is going to at me, as he really likes WM, and always maintains that I do the opposite of what he says. Thank you for letting me ponder here as I would surely drive him mad with all my back and forth!

On a different note, there are two things I would do to improve this already fabulous bag - first would be to change the name - Dufflette - sounds a bit odd to me (-ette makes it sound like a small bag which it is not) and second, if it had an outside, back zippered pocket this bag would be perfection! Lol.
