Thoughts?

I agree, but I think a lot of it is based on where you live. I believe that she's in Canada and every country has their requirements.
In Asia, I think it's 1:2 or 1:3. in the US, I don't believe that there are no spending limits as I have been offered bags a few times (BKC) and I do not have a large sales history with them. I think that if your SA likes you, then you'll get your bag. Plus there are over 40 stores here in the US and I think there are bags available. Just my opinion from my experiences. And they know I like larger bags, mainly 35 and 40's. :)

I really feel for the people in other countries that truly love H and spend a lot of money, thousands and they are still not offered a bag. But once again, supply and demand in your country and if there are only a few, it makes it even harder.

I've been watching Fashionably Amy and Kat L's Hermes journeys on YT and it's refreshing to see how honest they are about their journeys to BKCs. Semi-related to the discussion above, Amy is transparent about how competitive it is at her boutique and her spend is something that seems realistic (I think it was 4-5:1 for her first Birkin and then she got her first Kelly afterwards so it probably averaged 2.5:1 for each).

can someone recommend me an influencer who often buys bags on the resale market, i'm tired of unboxing videos :confused1::confused1:
They won't be an "influencer" as most of the influencers need to keep up with the appearances of other influencers who buy new from boutique, for the optics if nothing else.
but I can recommend a youtuber who's into hermes preloved, and lately has started making commentary videos too: Kate Swan
Also would recommend Winnie Y!

I love Winnie. She’s very down to earth relatable.

IMHO the only time the act of unboxing is thrilling or exciting is when you are unboxing your own new (or new-to-you) bag for the very first time. Who wants to watch a stranger doing it?
LOVE what you said. And seriously it's not so bad when they get right to the point. But come on, they have to tell you what they ate for breakfast, what hubby did before he left for work... JUST DO IT!! Sometimes I am too lazy if I am watching YouTube on my TV and can't find the remote and too lazy to look for it. So, I just punish myself and watch it! HAHA

Oh i aint got no time for that. I just fast forward it to the actual unboxing. I appreciate it if they timestamp the actual unboxing in consideration of us for not wasting our time for their small talk and introductions and other product endorsements they sandwhich into their video.

She is Asian and looks like she lives in Hong Kong.
Oh right, I do like her. I loved when she went step by step through her H Spa experience. She does seem nice and down to earth.
There are two Asian Ladies from down under that are nice to watch. One is more bougie than the other.

Here's Isabelle's Chanel and she's lovely.

And this is Mel From Melbourne, she's more bougie and older, but still sweet and she knows a lot about Hermés bags in regard to Kelly's and Birkins.

It’s interesting how many of these influencers use coveted Hermes bags to sell their collaborations with fast fashion or so called “Instagram” brands. They carry Birkins and Kellies in the promos to present their clothes more luxurious than they actually are. The latest example is https://instagram.com/lovisabarkman?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== carrying Birkins while advertising her collab with a brand. Or Josefine H J who has regular collections with Nakd fashion and always uses her Hermes bags to advertise it or any other fast fashion brand. They do it on purpose to sell the idea of ultra luxurious lifestyle which can be achieved by purchasing their clothes, since so few people can afford an Hermes bag.

From what I hear (allegedly) That a lot of these types of influencers are using clickbait. So you see a Birkin or Kelly and you click onto it and they are selling you something, whether it's on TikTok, IG, Insta Stories or Reels, etc. It's all a game. And I also have been told (allegedly) that half of the people on Social Media, including YouTube are sporting fakes. Not the 200 US fakes, but the 600+ handmade/hand sewn Super Fakes. And you can't tell from an IG posting what the details are on their Hermés bags. Once again I use "allegedly".

More than half....when you can order a handmade Mini Kelly to your specs for $800...I just wonder what happens when these folks unload these bags. I pray they don't sell them as real.
