Influencers and Hermes

I like Cassie compared to a lot of other influencers but I agree about the lack of transparency. I strongly believe she did not have to meet the 1:1 spending ratio to get offered this bag or her MKII. To solely credit her “great relationship” with her SA is disingenuous. Also in general kind of tired of influencers treating these bags like they are everything and as if just spending money is an accomplishment. Really turns me off because I don’t want to buy into that mindset or feel like I need to constantly spend money on luxury items to feel good about myself.

Am I the only one surprised about this bag color choice for Cassie? This doesn't look like her style at all and her SA presenting her a bag/color Cassie has never expressed interest in seems strange. I'm sure this was on someone's wishlist.
Yeah I definitely think someone else (or multiple people) was offered this bag and turned it down before it was offered to Cassie. Surprising that she was offered something not on her wishlist and that she accepted it.

I haven't watched her videos before but everything she said in that video sounds like what I/my SA would say to convince me to close the deal. "I was about 90% sure I'd take the bag." "Wouldn't this bag look so good with ___ outfit that you wore the other day." "It matches your other bags in this way ___." I think if there is hesitation or that much convincing needed, safe to say it wasn't an instant love.

For those that love a good unboxing moment

I never understand influencers. like, their logic makes no sense to me:
1. If twillies "protect the bag" and they're so "grossed-out" by the dirt on them, why did you only buy one for your double-handled bag?
2. Why does your SA calling your bags a fruit salad make you cry tears of joy? I'd be thinking my SA was a grape short of bunch if she said the same to me and pretend I didn't hear. Bad enough when she tried to upsell a dress by telling me it was "very Princess of Wales" (no disrespect but a dress can 'speak' for itself without being linked to a celeb or Royal).
3. Naming their bags (suggestions below naturally)

She still sounds like she's convincing herself to me.

+1. Influencers leave me cold. It all seems so strained.

(Also, wash your hands Cassie!)

Yes I wondered how Cassie got her first bag so quickly, according to her videos she said she had only bought a few small items before she got the offer.
I said on the other Hermes influencer thread that this color makes zero sense for her wardrobe. She is a flamboyant dresser and this color will clash with most of her clothes and accessories.
Pity I used to find her authentic but not so much lately

She needs something for youtube content; thus, the quota bag unboxing. :(

Unfortunately yes. She pays for this bag by posting the video. It’s possibly a tax write off. I always thought of her as someone who doesn’t just buy for content, but I’m afraid all influencers eventually end up in this territory with growing success. At some point their wardrobes are oversaturated but they have to keep creating content.

Cassie has said just recently said that hauls/unboxings are her most popular videos. That’s just viewer preference.
