Hmm never said that a single influencer flipping a single bag changes the resale market ...

Anyways, I'm not here to argue. I am happy to have heard a different perspective and I respect your opinions! Thanks for respecting mine.
I totally respect your opinion and loved chatting about this.
At least you didn’t call me delusional or any other disrespectful terms, we can agree to disagree like adults.

When it comes to that particular influencer yes I’m sure. I speak FACTS
It is facts to you because you have proof. It is not facts to us because we don’t have the said proof. It’s an anonymous internet forum so how do we know that your facts are indeed FACTS? Just writing the word at the end does not make it so to the readers.

To keep on topic on influencers and H, maybe you can enlighten us with your proof on this particular influencer so we too can see the statement as FACTS? Please do not say the burden of proof is with us because then, without proof, it is not FACTS. Thank you.

During my high school debate team days, my coach told me "always end your rebuttals by screaming FACTS! If your opponent comes back with logic or asking for further proof, just proclaim that you speak FACTS"

I agree they do owe their viewers a certain level of honesty and respect. But Hermes also expects them to uphold some level of ambiguity when it comes to bags. Take Cassie Thorpe as an example, she moved to NYC and within 2 months and one blanket unboxing she was given a mini Kelly. Therefore it’s safe to assume they gave her a mini Kelly because of her following on social media. There was no pre-spend to speak of, no waiting.
No, if she was given a bag she would need to disclose it as a paid sponsorship. Failure to do so is a violation of the law.

Hermes,
the company that made 3.4 Billion euros of profit in 2022,
the company that spends thousands if not millions per year on advertising and events,
the company that makes bags that require a waiting list because of scarcity (intentional or unintentional) for more than 20 years now,
the company that is often ranked in the top 10 luxury brands globally,
the company that makes the bags that even celebrities have to go the resell route for,
needs to gives their sought after bags to influencers with around 100k followers (purchased from bot farm or not) for marketing purpose?

.... time to look into bot farms.

Fact: I have no idea who Cassie whoever is but apparently a lot of New members are intimately familiar with her spend history
I noticed that too . but I didn't want to be the one that pointed that out AGAIN.
A lot of these new members need to be drafted into NFL the way they're running defense for these "influencers".

You know, when the SA goes into the back to check their stock, they're actually going into Hermes grand database that has all the customer's name and their corresponding social media accounts.

you're off by a factor...they made 3.4 BILLION in profit. They'd probably need the influencers if they only netted 3.4 million

Something I think about is that people who become influencers; i.e. people who have the luxury to drop their actual jobs to go about filming luxury content have parents (or even partners) who are really well off and support their lifestyle. These parents also buy a lot from luxury stores like Hermes. I'm not exactly sure if family profiles are connected or if these people are buying under their parents' profile but it makes sense that an influencer who buys a pair of oran sandals is offered a mini kelly afterwards simply from the strength of the total family profile. A lot of influencers claim to have "worked really hard" to be able to afford all their items but I don't buy it since they built their brand/blog off luxury items in the first place.
