Influencers and Hermes

Bonbon content is definitely better - I agree. But, reverse image search and webpage archives exist. Also so does just messaging an SA to ask or asking on TPF. I just don't understand the gatekeeping these influencers attempt to do, to be honest. All of the information is available online for free.
convenience charge I suppose..

I wouldn't minimize bonbon's work. They curate and search different sites within the hour in spite of the problematic Hermes' sites and catalogue new items, different colourways, sizes more than one can do on the regular. One cannot go ahead to do the reverse search if the work has not been done before to actually provide the pictures. Also, this is their first time being a monetized "influencer". This has been done for years for free considering how pesky people can be on the internet.

We can agree to disagree. I see nothing tasteful in charging other Hermes fans for information that is free. Her images are all taken from different Hermes sites around the world. You can literally search every single piece.

I can see your point too. It does feel a bit, distasteful sounds too harsh, but kind of leaves a slightly money grabbing vibe I suppose. But I guess we need to grab that money to fuel that addiction....

I almost spit out my coffee in laughter. This was hilarious!!

It is alarming how many people are attempting to monetize the Hermes addiction. I blame Tania for starting this trend.
I always assumed that these influencers were preying mostly on the aspirational buyers. The people who constantly post that they are scared to go into a store or scared to ask an SA a question. Those people will pay influencers because they can’t do the irl relationship to get what they need.

I have harsh opinions about the whole thing.

Quite reasonable if one truly needs this service, $2.99/mth. I wish her luck. It does require a lot of work.
I do wonder if the very minimally priced subscription is implemented more to decrease the number of DMs that cannnot possibly all be answered in order to focus on assisting people who are really serious and reasonable. If someone would pay $2.99, I’m sure they would pay $5.99 or $9.99, but it seems the very minimal amount may have been chosen more to filter out some difficult and demanding inquiries from any person online vs due to a motivation to make money on it. Or perhaps they did calculate how many hours were spent per day and needed to justify continuing to provide the service.
