Omg my jaw dropped. Ugh. She is crazy for posting this around the holidays.
She’s such a clown. There’s tone deaf and then there’s TONE DEAF! This isn’t even something that should be covered. And even the wording she used “some have it harder than you” literally had me thinking she was going to talk about the homeless, hungry babies, etc., then she had to mention the ultimate in need 🗣️ THOSE WITHOUT AN HERMÈS SHOP IN THEIR COUNTRY 😢
Dacob finally got his Birkin. I think it's pretty epic that all he has purchased over the years from Hermes is some jewelry, an Aline passport holder, a Pegase, a riding crop, tarot cards, and a Frisbee lol he didn't have to buy ready to wear, silks, sets of tea cups, 10 pairs of sandals, Hermes branded pillows and blankets, or a couple of consolation prize type non quota bags. I wish I could get the reassurance and transparency he received when they added him to a waitlist, and great customer service, but I guess you only get that experience in a country that is not the US. 😔
I've tried shopping from 5 different locations in my state (cali) and the only ones that sold me a bag still told me they were not sure they could get me a quota bag or even a color I liked in a non quota bag, and that I need to "build a relationship" with an SA for more bags and things that they don't have in stock. I don't really want anything else except for the Galop bracelet and birdie bag charm. normalize not wearing head to toe hermes but still being worthy of a Birkin. Thanks for your story Dacob.

Does he live in Berlin? As I understand the European Hermes boutiques put only locals on the waiting list for QBs.
He mentioned it was impossible to call Hermes in Berlin directly. Never had this issue. If I was interested in smth, I called a local Hermes boutique or Hermes in another country, I did't need Paris. Has Hermes changed regulations recently?

Hi. it sounds like he may be getting the birkin from a country in which he does not reside since he is having a friend collect the bag on his behalf. I remember he started his ‘journey’ while traveling. lol he did a video about this.

A local influencer just posted about an Hermes’ dinner with photos and being gifted perfumes. I find the courting of influencers really unappealing. I once was invited to an event and was told more influencers received invitation than actual clients. I buy H because I like it but influencers make me want to buy less.

I agree whole heartedly. This exact issue has been discussed a few months back - Hermes really should be courting the people who spend money at their stores and not influencers who almost always veer into trashy - because to me the whole concept of “influencing” is horrible.
