Influencers and Hermes

@BirKineSS @kmat I noticed that all the pieces Tamara was trying on in the episode I watched (her 'haul?') had strings attactched to them connected to labels denoting that those items could not be returned if these strings were cut.
That tells me she was purely trying them on for content and had no intention of actually keeping them...I suspect they were sent by Net-a-Porter or the like for product placement/PR.
I’ve noticed she does this a lot! You can tell what she really keeps by seeing what she takes with her on her vacation posts. Also worth noting she never keeps her fashion show looks in case anyone was curious

My point is I hope influencers dont just order things and use it as the sole purpose of their social media contents. Some people do wear them with tags still on and took many pictures then return everything. I dont like receiving items than ‘feels’ not new and somewhat have been used eventhough the tag still on it.

Many do. Someone posted a video of an influencer a few pages back. Locally she was banned a while back by LV for doing that (she had admitted it herself). Another one, also posted here before, posted a video of herself sooking how she was done with Hermes. She also received a letter from them, but I think hers was more so for attitude and reselling. Can't recall exactly.

I think a lot of them do. I ran across one of my favorite influencers Depop accounts and I was amazed at how much she has for sale new with tags. I am slightly sympathetic because unless they’re already wealthy or have loads of income coming in, it could be hard to keep up with buying so much in order to constantly have new content to post. I do hate how they’re given preferential treatment, though.

Yes, that was discussed extensively here and here. ;) Some :popcorn:for those who joined the forum after or fairly recently. :giggle:

I know this one… oz based youtuber. She still buy H though. I somehow dislike influencers with H. I feel lots of influencers actually cheapen the brand as if H is widely available and everyone can get it (eventhough its not). Specially when they talk about H in details as if they have been with the brand for so long. Money cannot buy attitude, style, class, integrity and self-worth 😊

I think there is a lot of repeat of the same videos and pictures. Maybe the US boutiques are happy to take her money for now, but one can ask when was the last time she got a QB in Paris ;)
Totally. I see her saying the same thing over and over again with different wording (her videos come up on my FYP a lot, I suppose probably because I keep watching them lol). In one I just saw, she kept referring to equestrian products as "horse things," saying, "Someday I want to start buying the horse things," "Hermes is known for making excellent horse things," and I was having such a hrd time taking her seriously! Imagine walking into the store and asking to look at their "horse things"? 😂

I’m pretty sure she got another quota bag the last time she was in Paris (which I think was less than a year ago). I don’t be crass but Cardi B and some of the women who curse and physically beat each other up on Real housewives shows are getting quota bags and getting posted on Michael’s IG! One he posted was even exposed once for getting fake bags. I do not think Hermes cares as much as we think!

1500 dollars? For an info product? (in Samantha’s from SATC voice) I thought it was more like 29.99 lol. I guess she needs to keep up with Hermès price increases.
