Here are the conclusions to my wedding band shopping:

Custom "Novo" like band:

Tacori Matching Band:

In the end it came down to the "novo" and the matching Tacori: (Novo on left, Tacori on right)

AND.....

The Novo won! The exposed metal of the Tacori didn't appeal to me, especially since my prongs are more "claw"-like and show less metal. You could clearly see the edges of the metal versus the "novo" which looked very clean and in my opinion sparkled better.

So here is my fiance and my wedding set. Both bands will be custom and ready in 6 weeks:

Also, for comparison, here is how it would have looked if I had gotten the pave sides and the matching band set from Tacori. Versus what i will be having:

The store had the 2639 with pave in stock so I saw to see it compared. I think had I had pave on the sides I would have gone matching. But the novo looked better in my opinion.

Ryu, Contessa - Thank you so much! I was so torn between the matching without milligrain and the "novo"-like band. My family preferred the matching Tacori but then DF and I decided that we liked that the "novo" size and style seems to work better with the e-ring in terms of matching and showing off the halo size. The Tacori side border of metal didn't mesh with it as well and the micropave wasn't what I expected.

Contessa - Thank you so much for showing me your wedding band. After seeing your and Ame's wedding ring I fell for the style of the 4 bead set ring. Before I saw it, I didn't even consider it and now it'll be my inspiration for my own ring!

I was soooooo tempted by a pair of .80 ctw studs we saw.... But had to be focused.... maybe next visit when we review the wax and diamonds loose hehe

Well that was the two I would've been choosing between. I would probably still have gone matching bec I am too anal retentive! lol But I LOVE the look of the novo band with your ering!!! YAAAAY!

It was a tough choice. I actually walked in expecting to purchase the tacori for myself. Had payment ready and everything! But when it went on something didn't feel to wow me! But then I kept going back and forth.... In the end the fact that my DF was going custom made me also want to follow that route. Originally we wanted matching so this is the closest we will get. Also the novo looked better worn alone than the tacori if I ever went without the ering.

The total cost of our custom bands together was less than the one matching tacori! (which means I may sneak in the pair of studs for the wedding! Hehe)

The novo will be 3/4 worn with a tiny spacer. Ering is 1.8mm spacer is 1mm or less then novo will be 2mm.

The width of the custom band is the same as the shank on your e-ring which is why I think it's actually a nicer match. I think it's smart you didn't go full eternity, and I think going with a spacer is a good idea. I think Ill possibly get one also...Less obvious 1mm vs 2mm.

Looking quite forward to seeing this completed band!

Nah.........not you! ;)
NEVAR.
