2.5 hrs is a LONG way to drive or fly just to see a bag, especially when the color was only one of three that Kathy had shown interest in. I might be sympathetic towards the SA if she had placed a special order for an orange Birkin or had it transferred over specially...but it doesn't sound like that's what happened.
I'm sorry to hear that the store manager is taking that attitude. It's certainly their right to operate however they like, but it just seems a bit petty to make you feel "punished" for turning down a bag...that somebody else ordered!! I hate to think what they said to that customer when she turned down the Birkin
