You and I have discussed this I think{?} this is all so ridiculous. The pressure, the jumping through hoops. . . so ridiculous
I agree, don't give in, get what YOU really want.
These businesses need to earn our business and loyalty, not the other way around.

I totally agree!

Funny thing is I was becoming a frequent shopper of H items. I got hooked like everyone does LOL I ordered another leather bracelet, bought some twillies etc etc and wanted a lot more. I was talked out of a BBB at the store because she said they just would never get one etc and I thought she had put my request back to an etoupe 30 birkin with PHW BUT I got a call about an epsom 30 with GHW and I am personally not a fan of that in a birkin. A kelly yes but for me it's too ridged for a birkin. So I said I am sorry I am going to pass. WELL my SA never called me back about getting my bracelet or scarf :confused1: So I think I may be on the blackballed list now too which is bad for H because I always buy things throughout the year when I am hooked I am hooked and I like my accessories. It's crazy that they wouldn't want a customer that is willing to spend.

pyrexia, I realise you didn't see the ironi in my statement.

I was merley trying to say that the SA'a are there to help you, and that it is not you as a customer that should have to get what the SA thinks you to get. Of course you should give them respect, but they should also give you as a customer respect.

when I read a lot of the threads here it seems like a lot of SA makes you have to buy little things before you even can ask If you might get a Birkin. I think that is lack of respect for the customers.

But as I said. I am new at Hermes, and from a different culture than you, so I may not understand it.

If you all think it is totally fine to almost be forced to get other things to get a relation to the SA before you even can ask for your dreambag, or that it is ok to get what the SA thinks you should get instead of what you choose, then I am sure it is fine, and maby it is that I am just stupid and don't understand the Hermes rules and regulations.

I agree that some SAs behaviors are appalling, and some of the rudeness I've read here, heard from friends and experienced myself are just mind boggling.

That being said, I suspect sometimes when one receives bad service, it is because WE started it first. I have been in different H stores around the world and witnessed first hand how snooty, arrogant and rude customers can be. A lot of them strut into the store, and act like the world owes them and all the SAs must grovel at their feet just because they are rich enough to afford a Birkin.

And I really feel for the SAs in such circumstances. Most of them are gracious in their replies, but I have also seen SAs close to loosing their cool when yet another arrogant customer demands a Birkin. Can we really blame them, in such a instance?

I'm just saying - respect is a two way street. KathyD and Rockerchic's experiences border on ridiculous, and I really hope that the customer service improves for them. That being said, I have no sympathy for the arrogant ones who receive bad service because they were rude in the first place.

First time I put my contact number down, the SM did get back to me. However the sample leather was only in the local store for 3 days, and I was BUSY entertaining guests from overseas. How ridiculous. She again took my contact down for a couple of bags just 2 days ago, but I'm undecided of which just yet. Besides I bought a bag from LV on the same day, in ostrich ha ha.

I am sorry Kathy.:flowers:
I am wondering if this applies only to the sale of Birkins and Kelly's? Or are they doing this for all bags? I still can't believe this information.

Thanks for everyone's concern! But everything is OK now! That was one particular SA, & I found another at the same store that is very nice. :yahoo: I have also visited another store in the state, & received great service. Other people on the forum have also experienced similar problems from this woman, so I don't feel bad. I just happened to encounter the wrong person for me. So everything is cool. :supacool:
