True appreciation for the beauty of exotic leathers is limited to a small group of handbag
lovers. I guess that's a good thing for many reasons. I've always loved and collected
exotic leather handbags. Some brands do embossed leathers that simulate exotic leathers.
I collect some of those also. Bright, fun, fashion colors are easier to 'justify' in the much less
costly embossed leather versions. Some look really nice, some, not so much.
Does a bright pink croco handbag look real.... even if it's genuine crocodile skin?

Actually not a big Hermes fan, so I'd get a classic Chanel, and then a Louis Vuitton piece (probably in empreinte leather or a backpack).

or many high end contemporary brand bags... like Dooney Florentine and Alto
or Coach better bags, or Tory Burch, etc. ?????

This is not a real world problem, and you don't need the money for the mortgage,
or student loans, or college savings, or a car or food, etc. It's a just for fun mental
exercise.

Maybe a high end overnight set or classic Chanel.

Hui, mind games… I think I would buy a Celine belt, there was a Celine box in a particular mint color I loved (if I could find it) and then I would get a personalized monogram luggage piece from Louis Vuitton.

2 years ago this money was enough to purchase a used Kelly 28, 32 or Birkin 30 in very good condition, but the the price of Hermes bags in the resale market has gone up substantially in the last 2 years. With 10K I probably would get a used Constance 18, an ostrich Mini Roulis or a light-colored Mini Roulis plus a Bottega Cassette bag.
