Dear Members of this forum,

Does anyone have a guess if this could be a real Mulberry bag, saw it today in an antiquities/trinkets shop. Should I buy it? Any chance at all that it could be real?

Hi all,

I’m very new to Mulberry and have bought a bag from Vinted without really researching. I completely understand that you may not be able to help with any authentication as I cannot provide the live auction details due to having purchased
the item, thus making the listing private between the seller and I.

I’ve attached some photos. Since buying, I now realise that this style doesn’t appear anywhere (that I can find). The seller confirmed that she bought it in a London charity shop, about 7 yrs ago, and classed it as vintage.

I would appreciate any help. As said, I am completely new to purchasing designer items online sites and bought the bag based on an outfit that I thought it would suit.

Many thanks 🙏🏻

Hello and welcome:flowers: I wouldn't be too concerned, but do wait to see if the lovely authentication ladies are able to give you some reassurance. What I see is a Soho, which whilst not quite vintage by the current definition, is certainly from a good while back, 2007-ish? Someone else may be able to confirm correct date, as I've never owned a Soho and cannot be certain. The color is a deep brown called "Chocolate". Leather looks a bit dry in spots from the photos, so might benefit from some TLC when you have the chance, using a good cream like Collonil, Renapur or the like, which will bring out the deeper tones in the leather. It's a lovely bag.

I am not an authenticator but this would appear to quite old. If it is authentic then it is Natural Vegetable Tanned (NVT) in chocolate. Chocolate NVT was phased out sometime between 2008 and 2012... maybe someone knows when exactly? Sorry, I don't know the style name of the bag.

Good afternoon any and everyone, I was hoping that someone could please help with authenticating a (not really sure) Mulberry bag. I’ve never owned one so I didn’t know where to start but here.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards.😊IMG_0686.jpegIMG_0687.jpegIMG_0688.jpegIMG_0692.jpegIMG_0690.jpegIMG_0689.jpeg
