A friend of mine purchased these 2 pieces a few years ago at a consignment shop in Paris for $1200. She is trying to sell them now but doesn’t know the style name of the smaller piece. Did that come with the Saint Jacques originally? Im not sure what the original price is of the pieces but is $800 a reasonable asking price for both? The handles are slightly worn but otherwise it is in excellent used condition.
I think you'd struggle to sell these for anything like 800 in all honesty. Epi doesn't have a very good resale value and the shape of the St Jacques is quite dated these days. Your best bet would be check SOLD listings on eBay to see what these are fetching these days (the vast majority seem to be sell under 400 USD). Good luck.

Thanks for your response! I didn't think it would be worth that much either and had a feeling she was ripped off. I did look at sold listings on eBay and told her they were selling for like $150-$400 but I didn't open up the listings and look at the condition and if they came with the pouch. Like I said, I'm not sure if the pouch is a completely separate item and will add value or if it came with the bag.

I have actually never seen an epi pouch of that shape before and I've been with the brand for 25 years. That said, I've never owned a St Jacques either so it may have come with the bag. I have never seen any catalogue photos of it with a pouch though so I have no idea. Retail on the St Jacques was between 700/825, depending on year of purchase.

I second @vernis-lover. I have never seen this pouch before.
I agree that 1200 euros for a Saint Jacques is way overpriced. Although it's a great, practical bag, its shape is dated and simply not on trend right now. Also, this bag was highly counterfeited so you may need to tell your friend that authentication may be a good idea before selling it.

Hi! I inherited this document bag from my grandmother. I went to the LV store to get it repaired (the inner part of the pocket was about to came loose) and they said it was the oldest item they had ever seen but they couldn't identify it. Anyone know anything about it, i.e. model, age etc?

Thanks in advance! :)

I think it's called the Louis Vuitton Poche Minister. I coincidentally just watched a youtube review on this piece (i think)

Hi everyone, I just came across this beautiful vintage LV bag on IG but could not know which one is it? Can anyone help me?
It has the look of the associe cartable men bag but this bag doesn't come in small size and in the monogram canvas!

Hi @jacobjs !
Did Louis Vuitton accept to send this bag for repair? If so, how much did it cost you?
My advice: You need to get this bag authenticated. There are a lot of red flags, even for a vintage piece. Best of luck though!
