Purchased this preloved (authenticated) Vernis Wilshire listed as “fuchsia”, but wondering if it’s actually rose pop as it’s redder IRL than the hot pink I expected.
I don’t have extensive LV experience to be able to easily tell. I’d really appreciate if someone with more knowledge could weigh in (the date code is MI0079)?
I still love the bag, just wondered if I was seeing things (sadly Seller wasn’t very helpful about providing additional info). Appreciate any insight...

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone knows the name of this bag? The closest I got was "Sac Passy" or "Sac Vendome" but I'm confused because both searches bring this bag up on Google, as well as other bags under the same name...

Thanks in advance!

I believe that’s a Sac Vendôme. It was made for several years throughout the 1980s.

Thank you! I thought it would be. It's a little odd though because another very similar (but slightly different) style comes up under Sac Vendôme, this one has a different lock where it doesn't look like a...well...lock.

The bag I'm looking at:

Another bag that comes up also:

3348004-discount-louis-vuitton-handbag-03_grande.jpg

But maybe it's because the latter is a smaller size?

Also, if you don't mind me asking while I'm here. Is it normal for (vintage) LV bags to have their "Louis Vuitton. Paris. Made In France" stamp on the side of the flap, instead of the center like normally?

Maybe there were two sizes: I don’t know the production history of this old bag. The stamp placement has moved over the years and some bags have a stamp on the side. However, if you plan on purchasing a bag, get it authenticated.

It's definitely isn't fuchsia as that was 2003 and the Wilshire wasn't in production then. Rose Pop, which came in 2009, would be the most likely candidate. Vernis is very difficult to photograph so always hard to capture true colours. Hope that helps.
