Identify this Balenciaga

I've noticed the two separate listings as well for one bag. In a moment of stupidity I actually bought one of those double-listed bags and it actually turned out fine. As pictured and authentic. But I wouldn't tempt fate again.

Even if this listing was legit, I doubt it's the bag I'm looking for, an 04 Teal.

I wonder if the bag was dyed a deeper blue color at some point? May explain why the zipper tape is so much lighter, and why there are some spots that look as if the darker color has flaked off possibly?

I also saw another of these recently, it was all black with a couple pieces missing off the strap but was a good price in case you’re interested in a project.

No idea, I've seen some bags with those silver circles but there's not enough here to say whether or not this one's authentic.

That is where I got hung up…Without asking too many specifics you don’t want to share, is the letter code the only way to date a bag where the style was produced for many years?

Letter code, colour, hardware, style code...it helps if you're aware of the many, many changes in tags etc. throughout the years.

I don’t think it’s Teal either. Here’s an 05 Teal from an abandoned listing on Posh. Not just the very different leather, notice the difference in the zipper tape color.
