F/W 2012 bluette.

Thank you! Is it possible to wear it over the shoulder or hand carry only?
I'm sure you can shoulder carry the bag. I had the Brief style, which is similar to the Step and RTT and it fit on my shoulder, no problem.
The RTT is a fairly large bag though and heavy too, I suppose. Not sure how comfy it is on the shoulder...
Maybe someone who has it can chime in on that.
Here's a photo to give you an idea.

Style number is the same for all Step bags, Bal didn't do individual serial numbers. The older bags also didn't have colour codes so I can't help you based on the tag. The lighting in your pics is pretty warm, it might help if you took outdoor pics.
It is in fact identical to my new
How does your step compare to the shoulder? Is the step color less impressive than the shoulder?
yes step is less impressive really, the one from FP was gorgeous, VC had similar photos but IRL it is a bit dry and more redish than violet. Since I am keeping step because I love the style , I was thinking of giving it a rub with woly purple leather care cream ??? Maybe it will get a violet tone after all. Not sure what to do. Shoulder is the same color but very saturated and chewy so rhat one will remain as is, I just need a cross body strap for it and this is a hard color to find, strangely brown goes well. I have a Bottega Veneta thin strap from a vintage bag, that might work for now

I thought the same thing as you, then I referred to the Colour Reference thread after reading @muchstuff's reply... and of course, they're correct as usual! :smartass:

I think, in 2009 raisin/grape are the same because of the French translation - unsure why it was grape/violet in 2007 and not grape/raisin/violet lol. :shrugs:
It is best to see them in person LOL, purples and violets are sooo hard to photograph. Also it really depends on the specific specimen. It reminds me of my husband and his search for a good bass. He never cared for brand but id he took it in his hands and it sounded just right, that was it. Same with me. I have bought cassis (color I LOVE) but with rose gold hw and am waiting to see it when if comes - it will be stay or go as soon as I see it. It is just hard to return to US and get the customs back from the customs office. Making it hard to play …. If only I had free ship and return from Yoogi’s or FP that would be my dearest playground

Uncaffeinated atm and thought bass = a fish... I was like "yeah they must feel different in your hands judging on the breed?"

I'm not totally familiar with Bal colours (yet), but judging on seeing a ton of photos online, I think I know what you mean!
