Does the leather conditioner and buffing give the leather an overall consistent color/tone or is more for keeping the leather from cracking? I usually stay away from the pre-owned bags that have some staining on the vachetta because I'm not quite sure how to treat the leather.

I guess I'm mistaken but I always thought washing machines is wear you wash filthy things.

My opinion, and I'm allowed to have one. I'd have cleaned it at home but that's just me.

Thank you all for your kind words. So far I have not noticed any issues with the bag. I will post an update in June to let you all know if any issues surfaced and will post a picture so you can see the condition of the bag 1 month after being in the washer/dryer.

It helps keep the leather moisturized and reduces the dryness cleaning can cause. The buffing in circular motion brought back the shine since the leather was dull after the cleaning process.
